Chapter 153 The 200–Million–Dollar Hush Money
Sophia sobbed as if her heart were breaking, making Dylan’s heart bleed for her.
Ignoring his celebrity status, he began screaming at Amelia. “You’ve been faking it this whole time! You finally showed your true colors! You just want to ruin Sophia’s life, don’t you? You’re pure evil!”
“Dylan, shut your damn mouth!”
Alexander and the other brothers saw things getting out of hand and rushed down to back Amelia up.
Alexander didn’t even look at Sophia. He walked straight to Amelia. “Don’t be ›cared, Amelia. We’re here. Nobody’s going to touch you.”
‘That’s right. All three of us are here today. Let’s see who dares to lay a finger on you!”
Lucas stood in front of Amelia like a protective mama bird. It was almost comical.
Selena blinked, feeling a sudden chill. She leaned into Amelia’s ear. “Babe, has the Bennett family lost their minds? Since when do they protect you?”
Amelia gave a self–deprecating laugh.
‘Maybe they finally got some sense knocked into them.”
In the past, these brothers always stood by Sophia, shielding her from everything.
Now, they had suddenly “woken up” and were attacking the sister they used to worship. It was ridiculous.
Still, if it made Sophia suffer, Amelia was happy to play along.
“Alexander, I don’t care what game you’re playing. I won’t let anyone hurt Sophia today.”
Dylan kept Sophia behind him, whispering sweet comforts to her. “Don’t be scared, Sophia. I’ve got you.”

Seeing Dylan’s mindless devotion, Amelia sighed. “I seriously think Sophia. brainwashed you. The facts are right in front of your face and you still won’t believe them. Your IQ is embarrassing.”
“Shut up! You don’t get a say here!” Dylan hissed. “Phantom? Whatever. You probably just paid these people to put on a show for you!”
“Dylan, that’s enough!” Asa’s face was red with indignation. “I’ve been in the design world for thirty years. I have a reputation! How dare you insult me like that!”
“Dylan, you really need to see a neurologist.”
Selena crossed her arms, staring at him with icy eyes. She wondered how she could have ever been blind enough to date such a prick.
Sophia saw how intense they were getting and tugged on Dylan’s sleeve, looking pitiable. “Dylan, if it makes Amelia happy to bully me, it’s okay. I can take it.”
Not again!
Amelia wanted to vomit, and Alexander and the others were rolling their eyes.
Julian couldn’t take it anymore. Known for his sharp tongue, he snapped at Sophia. ‘Are you a sow in heat or something? That’s your brother, and you’re still trying to ›educe him with that disgusting act!”
Remembering how Sophia used to do the same to him made Julian’s skin crawl.
Sophia froze. “I… I’m not…“,
Julian! How can you say something so horrible to her!”
Just as they were about to start a shouting match, the principal stepped in. “Everyone, please! We need to settle this.
“Since ‘Heart of the Ocean‘ is Master Phantom’s work, let her decide how to handle the situation. Is that fair?”
Amelia gave the principal a thumbs–up. “Principal Evans, you really are an old fox. Straight to the point.”

The principal beamed at the compliment.
“Of course, of course! Master Phantom, please. What is your decision?”
Amelia walked in a slow circle around Sophia, her eyes scanning her with an unsettling intensity. Sophia felt a wave of dread wash over her.
Finally, Amelia gave a dark smile. “It’s not a huge deal. Since Sophia didn’t technically profit from my design yet, she can just pay me… let’s say, two hundred million dollars as a hush–money fee.”
“Two hundred million?! Hush–money fee?!” Sophia’s eyes widened. “Are you obsessed with money? That’s all you ever talk about!”
“Well, what else should I talk to you about? Romance?”
Amelia’s retort left Sophia speechless. How can this woman be so shameless?
Dylan looked at Amelia with pure disgust. “Amelia, you really are a country bumpkin. You’ve clearly never seen real money in your life. Fine. I’ll pay for her.”
Amelia gave him a sarcastic thumbs–up. “You all heard him. As long as he transfers two hundred million dollars, I’ll drop the plagiarism charge against Sophia.”
“Don’t worry, Amelia. We heard it,” Alexander answered immediately.
Julian wasn’t about to be left out. “Exactly. And if Dylan doesn’t pay, I’ll be the one filing the lawsuit.”
Dylan looked at his own brothers. They were all turning against him. He felt like Amelia had cast some sort of spell on them to make them do her bidding.
