Chapter 224 Saving the Day
He turned around and walked right out of the studio. Evelyn hurried after him. “Sebastian, Amelia has totally crossed the line! How could she sleep with…”
“Shut up!” Sebastian ran his tongue over his teeth, his eyes completely icy. “How are you so sure the person inside is Amelia? Did you set this up?”
Caught red–handed. Evelyn panicked and stuttered, “I–I only said that because I saw…
“You didn’t see sh*t! The person inside isn’t even my best friend! You have the nerve to drag her name through the mud?! I’ll beat the life out of you!”
Selena stormed out of the studio and slapped Evelyn squarely across the face.
Evelyn couldn’t dodge in time and crashed onto the floor. She glared up at Selena with pure hatred. “Ms. Thorne, how can you just hit people?! Is this how the Thornes raise their daughters?!”
“I hit low–class trash like you! If you keep running your mouth, I’ll slap you again!”
Thank God the woman inside wasn’t Amelia, or Selena would have beaten Evelyn until she cried for her mommy.
The crowd watched Evelyn with absolute contempt. Not a single person was willing to offend the Thornes to defend her.
Evelyn looked at Sebastian pitifully. “Sebastian, even if I’m nothing else, I’m still your adopted sister. Are you just going to stand there and let Selena bully me?”
Sebastian was burning with anxiety trying to find Amelia. He had zero time for Evelyn’s bullsh*t. He turned and walked away without even glancing at her.
Tears blurred her vision. Evelyn bit her lip, glaring at Sebastian’s retreating back, digging her nails fiercely into her dress.
That juice was spiked with a massive dose. There’s no way you can fly out of this!
Even if Ace failed to ruin you and you escaped, the drugs are definitely at their peak now. It’s even better if you get screwed by some homeless guy on the streets!
The drugs in Amelia’s system had reached their absolute limit. She stumbled along a secluded path in the Thorne estate, hiding in the shadows whenever she heard people approaching.
Eventually, her vision completely blurred out. Her legs gave way, and she pitched forward involuntarily.

But instead of the painful smack of the stone path, Amelia crashed into a warm embrace.
“Drinking this much, Ms. Bennett? Trying to drown your sorrows?”
It was Cyrus!
Even recognizing his voice, Amelia was completely drained. She couldn’t even lift an arm, let alone shove him away.
Seeing that she didn’t push him away and was instead leaning her entire body weight against him, Cyrus let out a mocking smirk. “Ms. Bennett, are you throwing yourself at me?”
Throwing myself at you my *ss! Can’t you see I’ve been drugged?! Are you f*cking blind, Cyrus?!
Just as Amelia was cursing him out in her head, a freezing, furious roar echoed from nearby. “Let her go!”
Then. Amelia’s limp body was suddenly yanked away. This time, the embrace carried a faint scent of white tea, instantly relaxing her tense muscles.
This deadbeat Sebastian finally found me!
Seeing Sebastian burning with rage, Cyrus couldn’t help but rub his nose. He spread his hands awkwardly. “She almost fell. I just caught her. I didn’t try anything.”
Sebastian replied coldly, “If you had tried anything, you wouldn’t need those hands anymore!”
With that, Sebastian scooped the delirious Amelia up into his arms and rushed toward the estate gates.
Watching them leave, a look of envy flashed across Cyrus’s face. “Must be nice having a fiancée. Makes a guy jealous.”
There was still a massive crowd at the Thorne estate gates, and plenty of guests were still stuck in traffic on the mountain road.
Sebastian took one look at the mob at the gates and immediately spun around, heading straight up the mountain. After settling Amelia into the helicopter, Ryan realized something was seriously wrong and asked.
“Mr. Sterling, are we heading to the hospital, or…”
“Back to the main mansion.”
The last time, he got there early enough to suppress the drugs in her system medically.

But this was different. Amelia was completely out of her mind, and the deep flush on her cheeks was highly unnatural. The dose must have been massive.
Half an hour later, Amelia was tossed onto a plush bed, Cut off from the familiar embrace, she felt incredibly uncomfortable and kept whimpering.
“Hot… it hurts…”
Amelia’s eyes were half–closed. She looked like a mesmerizing, dew–kissed rose that made a man want nothing more than to pluck it and take a bite.
Sebastian slowly took off his suit jacket, but Amelia couldn’t wait any longer. She lunged at him, tearing at his white shirt, her burning lips lighting fires all over his chest.
Her aggressive initiation put Sebastian in a fantastic mood. His eyes gradually darkened with lust. He swallowed hard, his voice turning husky. “Amelia, do you know what you did wrong now? Hmm?”
Amelia offered up her lips, but Sebastian dodged her deliberately, a teasing smirk locked onto his face, like a predator playing with his caught prey.
