Now that I think about it, why does my memory sound exactly like what Grandma just described?
Eleanor’s eyes suddenly grew serious. “Amelia, do you remember what the person you saved was wearing?”
Amelia tilted her head to think. Eleanor looked intensely nervous. Could it be that the person who saved her wasn’t Evelyn, but Amelia?!
Under Eleanor’s extremely hopeful gaze, Amelia sighed. “I forgot.”
I genuinely can’t remember!
She had a minor flaw: her brain automatically deleted things she didn’t care to remember, treating them like they never happened.
Eleanor sighed. “Never mind. You two go get some rest. Sebastian, make sure someone keeps a close eye on Evelyn, and find a suitable guy to marry her off to. That will settle our debt.”
Sebastian took Amelia’s hand. Standing in front of Eleanor, he said, “Get some rest, Grandma.”
Back in the bedroom, seeing the familiar furniture instantly sent a deep blush across Amelia’s cheeks.
This is the exact room where we spent the night together!
“If you’re not comfortable, I’ll take the couch.”
Is Sebastian actually playing the gentleman and volunteering for the couch?
Amelia wasn’t about to say no. “Deal! I get the bed!”
Amelia had been exhausted all day. The second she slipped into the hot tub, she let out a satisfied sigh. The aches in her bones vanished instantly.
Taking a bath feels so damn good!
“Amelia.”
A knock suddenly hit the bathroom door. The glass reflected Sebastian’s tall silhouette, making Amelia jump out of her skin.
“What are you doing?!”
I actually forgot to lock the door!

Click. The sound of the doorknob turning echoed, and the door slowly cracked open.
Amelia frantically covered her chest with a towel and screamed, “Ahhhhh! Sebastian, you pervert! I’m taking a bath! Get out!”
Standing outside, Sebastian sounded genuinely wronged, lowering his voice softly. “Amelia, I just wanted to ask if you needed a foot massage. You must be exhausted today.”
“In your dreams! Get the hell out before I get mad!”
Is Sebastian just a horny dog in disguise?! He acts all cold and pure on the outside, but he’s such a creep behind closed doors!
“Okay, I’m not coming in.”
The second the door clicked shut, Amelia clearly heard his low, teasing chuckle.
Amelia slapped the bathwater, gritting her teeth. “Pervert! Yuck!”
Half an hour later, Amelia happily curled up in the soft duvet and quickly drifted off to sleep.
When Sebastian stepped out of his bathroom in a pure white bathrobe, the little woman on the bed was already sound asleep. He crouched by the bed, his deep eyes locked onto her peaceful face.
Suddenly, he couldn’t resist reaching out to gently pinch her soft, rosy cheek. He sighed, “Amelia, when are you going to remember who I am?”
He had known Amelia since they were kids. Originally, he fully intended to cancel the Bennett family engagement. But when Amelia returned to Kingsley and became his fiancée…
Sebastian’s long–frozen heart started beating wildly. Just catching a glimpse of her made it
impossible to suppress his joy. All his friends and family kept urging him to break off the engagement.
They kept saying Amelia was an uneducated, ill–mannered, vicious, brainless country bumpkin,
Only he knew that his Amelia was absolutely nothing like the trash they claimed she was!
Sebastian held her hand against his cheek, eyes full of devotion. “But it’s okay if you can’t remember right now. You can take your time after we get married.”
I need to speed up the wedding plans!
