Chapter 41 A Scandal Trending Worldwide.
Julian had seen the trending hashtags before the family even called. PR told him the situation was
permanent.
Twitter’s management refused to play ball; no amount of money would make the posts vanish.
The source of the leak wasn’t some anonymous hater–it was Amelia’s verified account!
When William found out Amelia was behind it, the veins on his forehead pulsed. He smashed a vase into
the floor.
“Is that girl completely insane?!”
They were family, yet she was posting her own sister’s scandalous photos. Did she have no shame?
‘I don’t care how you do it,” William roared. “Find Amelia and bring her here! I want to know what the hell she’s thinking!”
Amélia’s post included more than just intimate photos; there were shots of Sophia in a cringey emo phase,
moking and drinking.
The Bennetts had spent a fortune burying her past, but Amelia had unearthed it all and pinned it to the ront page.
f Sophia wanted to be famous, Amelia was going to make sure she trended for at least three days!
Half a day passed without a sign of Amelia, but the Bennett Group received a devastating blow.
The overseas funding has been cut. They said Sophia’s reputation is too toxic for their brand…”
That’s impossible!”
William turned pale, pacing the living room like a caged animal. “Get the investor on the line now! I’ll talk o him!”
The assistant looked miserable. “They blocked our numbers. They pulled out without even asking for their dividends. We’re paralyzed.”
Though the Bennett Group was a global titan, their biggest backer was a mysterious overseas investor.
This mystery figure had appeared years ago, opening the doors to international markets and skyrocketing their profits.
Back then, the company was barely clinging to the Top 100, but this funding had pushed them into the Top 50.
If that money vanished, the Bennett Group was dead in the water
“Where is Alexander? Get him to handle this immediately!”
In a crisis, William’s first instinct was always his eldest son.

“Mr. Alexander Bennett is on a business trip… he’s not even in Kingsley,” the assistant stammered.
“Plus, our stock is down ten percent. If Sophia’s scandal doesn’t die down, we’re going to hit the floor.”
William hadn’t expected a single social media post to trigger such a massive catastrophe.
Sophia sat on the sofa, her eyes bloodshot from crying. She hissed through her teeth at William. “Dad, it’s one thing to hurt me, but she’s destroying the whole family! How can she be so malicious?”
William let out a low growl. “She’s an animal! How did we ever raise such a monster!”
Eudora was just as furious, but she knew they needed Amelia to delete the post and issue a public clarification.
Minimizing the damage was the only priority now.
‘Calm down. Let’s wait for Julian to find that little bitch first.”
Sophia kept her face buried in her hands, but she wasn’t crying over the slander–she was terrified of how Amelia found those photos.
Amelia was eventually spotted sitting at a bus stop right in front of the Bennett Group’s headquarters.
When a grim–faced Julian arrived, Amelia greeted him with a beaming, radiant smile. “Hey Julian! You
ook like you’ve got one foot in the grave. Maybe you should sign your shares over to me before you drop dead.”
ulian’s face turned the color of a bruised plum. He glared at her with wide, hateful eyes. “Amelia, what do you gain by dragging the family name through the dirt?”
Amelia tilted her head and furrowed her brow in mock innocence. “Aren’t you here to kidnap me? Stop with the questions; I don’t like repeating myself.”
Julian froze, confused by her reaction.
Something was wrong.
This was too easy.
She was far too calm, sitting right where they could easily find her, as if she had been waiting for the trap to spring.
