Felix couldn’t hit Sebastian, so he stood up and walked over to Xavier, grabbing the few remaining hairs on
the man’s head.
“Xavier, do you think I’m playing with you?”
“Ow! Ow! Stop it, Felix! I’ll go bald!”
The two of them bickered like children, a common sight that the marketing manager ignored as he continued his presentation.
Sebastian’s eyes were fixed on his screen. Amelia still wasn’t back, and he was starting to feel a gnawing sense of irritation.
Amelia had finished her business quickly, but she had the misfortune of running into a very persistent social climber.
Phoebe Vance had insisted on following her father to the meeting today.
Phoebe was a pampered heiress and a former child star who had successfully transitioned into a popular
young actress.
But she had one goal in life: to marry Sebastian Sterling.
While waiting for her father, she heard that Sebastian had brought a woman to the office.
She searched the entire floor until she cornered the intruder in the ladies‘ room.
“What’s your name? State it right now!”
Phoebe was dressed in a pink princess gown, her makeup flawless. She looked like a living doll.
Amelia looked left and right, confirming they were alone. “Are you talking to me?”
“Who else would I be talking to? Who are you, and how dare you seduce my man!”
Amelia narrowed her eyes, finding the situation amusing. “And who did I seduce, exactly?”
“Sebastian Sterling! He’s my fiancé! You dragged him to the office… don’t tell me you aren’t a homewrecker!”
Amelia recognized her from the headlines. Phoebe was one of the few celebrities who actually had a decent reputation despite her wealth.
Amelia didn’t hate her, so she tried to be reasonable. “Phoebe, isn’t Sebastian engaged to Amelia Bennett? Last I checked, that wasn’t you.”
Phoebe’s face flushed red with rage, her “cute” image cracking.
“Amelia Bennett is a nobody! She isn’t fit to shine my shoes. Only I am worthy of him!”

Amelia noticed two familiar faces standing behind Phoebe–actresses Sebastian had recently blacklisted. “Oh So you’re their new boss now?”
The two actresses turned pale, gasping in horror.
“Amelia! It’s her!”
Only Amelia Bennett would know that Sebastian was the one who had ended their careers!
“Hey, no need to scream. I’m not dead yet; save the mourning for later.”
Amelia spoke as she pulled off her sunglasses and mask.
When her natural beauty was revealed, Phoebe actually stopped breathing for a second.
‘You… how can you be Amelia…”
The girl before her had skin like porcelain and eyes that seemed to hold the entire galaxy. Her red lips gave her the aura of a queen.
Standing before her, Phoebe felt like a servant who should be bowing down.
Phoebe shook her head, trying to clear the “spell.”
Dammit! How can my rival be this pretty?!
You were saying something about being his fiancée?” Amelia smiled, stepping toward her. “Come on, say it again for me.”
Amelia’s commanding, sultry voice made Phoebe’s skin crawl with a strange sensation.
Her voice is amazing!
Wait, am I falling for the rival instead of the man?!
‘I–I’ll say it! I’m the one meant for him! You’re just a pretty face with nothing else to offer!”
Amelia crossed her arms, looking down at the girl who was half a head shorter than her.
“Ah, to be young. Sebastian just loves my face; it’s a burden, really.”
“You-!”
Phoebe was purple with rage, unable to find a comeback.
