Revenge Looks Good on Me
Chapter 85 The First Day of School
But about the shares…
“I can’t accept these yet. I need to speak with Eleanor first.”

Edward waved her off, looking perfectly confident. “Go ahead and ask her. I guarantee she’ll tell you to keep them.”
Amelia clutched the agreement, wondering if Edward was being a bit delusional. How could he be so sure she’d accept?
That evening. Amelia visited the Sterling manor. When she mentioned the Radiant Muse shares to Eleanor, the old woman let out a delighted laugh.
“I can’t believe he still remembers that promise. Good for him.”
Amelia tried to stay professional, but curiosity won out. “Grandmother, did you and Edward… know each other well back then?”
Eleanor didn’t hide anything. She set the agreement aside and looked out the window, her eyes distant.
“We were more than just friends. We were neighbors.”
From Eleanor’s story, Amelia learned the truth.
Decades ago, the Harringtons and the Sterlings lived on the same street. They were childhood sweethearts. The Harringtons made it big first, but then they went bankrupt. During their darkest hour, Eleanor’s mother had funded them.
Edward had promised to pay her back, but then the Harringtons moved away and went radio silent for
years.
By the time they met again, they were both grandparents with silver hair.
Transferring the shares to Amelia was Edward’s way of finally settling that lifelong debt to the Sterling
matriarch.
Once the mystery was solved, Amelia held up the folder. “So, about this…”
“Keep it, dear. Consider it an early wedding gift from this old woman.”
Free assets? Don’t mind if I do!
Amelia tucked the folder into her bag with a beaming smile. “Thank you, Eleanor!”
The Bennett family had spent a fortune and used every connection they had to settle the “stolen dress” scandal with Irene.
Irene had agreed to stay quiet on the condition that the Bennetts handed over several prime commercial

properties. It was a massive blow to their holdings.
Amelia didn’t care about any of that, though. School was starting.
She was currently brainstorming the perfect “welcome gift” for Sophia.
Finished
In the past, Amelia and Sophia always arrived at school together. Sophia would be swarmed by fawning sycophants, while Amelia was the permanent target for bullying and mockery.
This time, Sophia was going to find out exactly how it felt to be the pariah.
On the first day. Sophia chose a “casual” look: a white designer shirt and jeans, her long hair in a high ponytail. She looked cute and energetic.
She had refused a private car, choosing to take the bus to look “humble.”
As she stepped off the bus, a crowd of students immediately surrounded her, cameras flashing and girls screaming.
“Sophia! Is that the new Chanel fall collection? It’s gorgeous!”
“Look at that pearl necklace! It’s breathtaking! It must have cost a fortune!”
One girl even reached out, trying to touch the pearls.
Sophia took a sharp step back, her eyes flashing with elitist disdain. “Careful. This was ninety million dollars at auction. It was worn by Queen Elizabeth. Please don’t touch it.”
The necklace Alexander had won for ninety million was now draped around Sophia’s neck.
Amelia let out a silent, self–deprecating laugh. She knew Alexander was a snake; all his “kindness” lately had been a performance.
Ignoring the nauseating display of flattery, Amelia walked toward the gates with a light, confident stride..
“Wait… is that Amelia? Did she get plastic surgery? I didn’t even recognize her!”
Someone called out her name, and several girls immediately blocked her path with malicious grins.
Leading the group was the ever–charming Brittany.
