Chapter 95 Fresh from the Shower
She was literally posing for him.
“Sebastian, you’ve been working so hard. I made this chicken soup myself. Come on, take a sip?”
Chloe put the bowl down, but Sebastian’s face was like a winter storm. “Get the hell out.”
Chloe flinched, almost knocking the bowl over.
But she didn’t run. This was her only shot.
She’d spent hours on her hair and makeup, and she was wearing a perfume that was supposed to be an aphrodisiac.
If she could just get him to taste it, she was in.
Sebastian had his shirt unbuttoned, looking rugged and powerful, and Chloe was practically vibrating with excitement.
She got brave and stepped toward him, faking a trip, “Oh!”
She aimed herself right for his lap.
Sebastian didn’t even blink; he stood up and stepped back. Chloe hit the floor face–first, and the soup splashed all over her. She looked like a drowned rat.
“Sebastian! It was an accident! The floor’s just slippery… help me up?”
She sat there, trying to look ‘vulnerable‘ while basically falling out of her negligee.
She gave him these big, watery eyes. Amelia was watching from the hall, totally entertained.
Wow, Chloe really is a daredevil. Seducing Sebastian Sterling in his own study?
She’s got a death wish.
Sebastian looked like he was about five seconds away from calling security. “Chloe, are you going to walk out, or do I have you dragged out?”
Chloe’s heart skipped a beat. Her aunt was right–if she didn’t seal the deal now, she’d never be his.
She lunged and grabbed his leg, “Sebastian, I love you! I’ve always loved you! We grew up together! Just give me a chance, please!”
Sebastian kicked her off like she was a bug. “Don’t touch me. You’re making my skin crawl.”
Chloe sprawled on the floor, hysterical now. “Why? What does Amelia have that I don’t? Why are you doing this to me?”
Sebastian looked down at her with pure disgust, his voice like a razor, “You’re not even in her league. Now
get out.”

Chapter 95 Fresh from the Shower
Finished
Chloe let out a sob, scrambled to her feet, and bolted for the door.
She ran out so fast she almost took Amelia down.
Amelia just gave a little wave, “Night, cousin.”
Calling her ‘cousin‘ was the final nail in the coffin. Chloe screamed “Go to hell!” and ran for the stairs, crying her eyes out.
“Finished with the show?”
Sebastian’s voice came from inside. Amelia walked in, balancing the tonics.
The second she walked in, Sebastian said, “She saved Grandma’s life once. That’s the only reason I don’t throw her out on the street. But that was her last pass.”
Amelia knew he was explaining it for her benefit.
But she didn’t care about Chloe. A basic girl like that wasn’t even worth her time.
“Eleanor made us some tonic. She told me to bring yours up.”
Amelia put the bowl on the mahogany desk and opened the lid, “Drink up.”
Sebastian didn’t touch the bowl. He stepped behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, burying his face in her hair. His voice was low and gravelly, “Fresh from the shower?”
He smells like woodsmoke and expensive cologne. And he’s so freaking hot.
Amelia felt a shiver run down her spine, her heart starting to race.
“Sebastian, stop. Drink your soup.”
She held the bowl out, refusing to move until he took it.
Sebastian took it, sniffed it, and his eyes went dark.
“Amelia… are you sure you want me to drink this?”
Amelia didn’t get it. “It’s a gift from Grandma. Just drink it and don’t be a jerk.”
It’s just soup. It’s not like his own grandmother would spike his drink.
Sebastian let out a low, dangerous laugh and downed the whole thing in one go. He slammed the bowl down and turned to her, his gaze intense.
Amelia felt the shift in the room. The air was thick. She suddenly realized what he’d been hinting at.
