Summary for Chapter 110: Ride With Me (Paige and Jace)

Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 110

CHAPTER 69-1

VICTOR POV-

I hated abandoned warehouses because they always smelled the same, and this one was no different, because the air carried dust, old oil, damp concrete and the faint metallic scent of rust.

I stood beside an old wooden table and checked my watch for the third time.

Charlotte Lawson was late.

I didn’t like waiting for anyone and I especially didn’t like waiting for someone who had come to me asking for help. She wanted Paige ruined and I wanted leverage over the Iron Vipers.

Our goals were different but they overlapped enough to make the meeting worthwhile.

The warehouse door finally opened, and Charlotte stepped inside before closing it behind her.

“You came.” Charlotte said and I looked at her without moving.

“You asked for a meeting.” I said as she walked closer, but she kept several feet between us.

“I want Paige ruined.” She said.

“I know.” I said.

“Then why haven’t you done it?” She asked and I smiled faintly.

“Because destroying someone isn’t as simple as breaking a window.” I said.

“You’ve already attacked her business.” Charlotte said.

“We tested her.” I said.

“And?” She asked.

“She noticed.” I said making Charlotte look frustrated.

“She’s getting stronger.” Charlotte said.

“Yes.” I said.

“She’s becoming more successful.” She said.

“Yes.” I said.

“And the Iron Vipers are protecting her.” Charlotte said as my expression hardened.

“That is the problem.” I said.

The Iron Vipers had become more than a motorcycle club surrounding Paige, because they were

becoming a wall between her and anyone who wanted access to her.

Every time we applied pressure, they responded. Every time Paige suffered a setback, they helped

her rebuild and every time we expected fear, she became more determined. Charlotte seemed to

understand that now.

“I can give you information.” She said and I raised an eyebrow.

“What kind?” I asked.

“Her routines.” She said as I gestured toward the table.

“Then start talking.” I said so Charlotte stepped closer.

“She opens Lawson Customs early most mornings and she usually leaves around six.” Charlotte

said.

“Usually?” I asked.

“Sometimes later if she’s working on a restoration.” Charlotte said.

“Who stays with her?” I asked.

“Ben is usually there during the day and Mia handles the office.” Charlotte said.

“Jace?” I asked and she hesitated.

“Frequently.” She said and I noticed the hesitation immediately.

“You don’t like him.” I said.

“I don’t like what he’s done to her.” Charlotte said.

“That’s not what I asked.” I said and Charlotte looked away.

“I don’t like him.” She admitted and I smiled.

“Good.” I said.

I walked around the table while she continued speaking.

“She visits the clubhouse regularly and she spends weekends with the club.” Charlotte said.

“Does she have predictable stops?” I asked.

“She gets coffee several mornings a week.” She said.

“Where?” I asked and she gave me the name of the café so I stored it away.

“What else?” I asked.

“She sometimes goes to the bank.” Charlotte said.

“When?” I asked.

“I don’t know.” She said and I stopped walking.

“You’re giving me pieces.” I said.

“I’m giving you what I know.” She said.

“You want Paige destroyed, but you haven’t been close enough to her to know everything.” I said

and Charlotte’s expression hardened.

“She’s my sister.” Charlotte said.

“That doesn’t mean you know her.” I said and the words clearly irritated her.

“She used to tell me everything.” Charlotte said.

“And now?” I asked.

“Now she doesn’t.” She said.

“Why?” I asked and Charlotte looked toward the warehouse entrance before answering.

“Because she’s chosen them.” Charlotte said.

“The Iron Vipers?” I asked.

“Jace.” She said.
