Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 111
CHAPTER 69-2
ou expect me to help you without knowing what you’re planning?” She asked.
“I expect you to understand that you don’t have enough power to demand answers.” I said.
“You don’t trust me.” She said.
“No.” I said.
“Then why meet me?” She asked.
“Because useful information can come from untrustworthy people.” I said and she stared at me for
several seconds.
“I don’t trust you either.” She said.
“That’s probably wise.” I said and I picked up the folder from the table.
“You should understand something before we continue.” I said.
“What?” She asked.
“I make no promises.” I said and her expression changed.
“You said you’d help me.” She said.
“I said I’d listen. That’s different.” I said and Charlotte stepped closer.
“I want Paige gone.” She said.
“You want Paige defeated.” I said.
“I want her to lose everything.” Charlotte said and I studied her carefully.
“Be careful what you wish for.” I said.
“Why?” She asked.
“Because if you give me enough information, I might give you exactly what you asked for.” I said.
For the first time, uncertainty crossed her face. That interested me because fear made people cautious and cautious people sometimes became useful.
“Tell me about the journals.” I said and her expression changed immediately.
“What journals?” She asked.
“Don’t insult me.” I said and she looked away.

CHAPTER 69-2
“You know about them?” She asked.
“Lknow they matter.” I said.
“They belonged to Uncle Will.” She said.
“Where are they?” I asked.
“At the garage.” She said.
“Where?” I asked.
“I don’t know exactly.” She said and I narrowed my eyes.
“You said you knew.” I said.
“I know she keeps them somewhere private.” She said.
“Anything else?” I asked.
“She has an old office upstairs and she spends time there alone.” She said.
“Anything in the workshop?” I asked.
“She keeps some things there.” She said and I nodded.
“Better.” I said as Charlotte stared at me.
“What are you going to do?” She asked as I closed the folder.
“That’s not your concern.” I said.
“I need to know.” She said.
“No.” I said and she stepped closer.
“Victor.” She said and I looked directly at her.
“You came here because you want Paige ruined.” I said.
“Yes.” She said.
“Then stop asking questions and give me what I need.” I said.
Claim
She hesitated before finally giving me another piece of information about Paige’s schedule. This information was considerably more useful. I immediately understood how it could be used.
When the meeting ended, Charlotte moved toward the warehouse door.
“If you hurt her badly, I want to know.” Charlotte said and I smiled.

CHAPTER 69-2
“You should have thought about that before you came here.” I said.
Clar
She looked unsettled, but she left without another word. The door closed behind her and I waited. I didn’t move. I simply listened until her footsteps disappeared and then I reached for my phone.
“Follow her.” I ordered.
“Understood.” My man said on the other end and I looked toward the closed door.
“She thinks she’s using us. She hasn’t realized that she’s already useful.” I said smiling to myself
I slipped my phone into my pocket and walked toward the window.
Across the street, something moved. I narrowed my eyes. Nothing. Only darkness. Only an empty
road so I dismissed it. That was my mistake.
Across town, Paige sat beside Jace inside the Iron Vipers clubhouse, completely unaware that her
sister had just made a deal that could put her in danger.
I didn’t know what they were doing at that exact moment, but I knew enough about Jace to
understand what he meant to Paige.
He had become her safety. Her home, her weakness and I had seen the way he watched her. I had
seen the way she looked at him.
People became predictable when they cared deeply about someone. That was the leverage I
wanted.
The Iron Vipers had spent weeks protecting Paige and they had become increasingly comfortable
believing they could shield her from everything but I intended to prove otherwise.
But as I stood alone inside the warehouse, I didn’t realize that one of the Iron Vipers had followed
Charlotte.
I didn’t know that he had watched the meeting from across the street and I didn’t know he had
photographed us. I didn’t know that evidence of our arrangement was already on its way toward
Jace.
I only knew that Charlotte had given me information and information was power.
I looked down at my phone and the first message arrived.
Charlotte has left.
The second followed moments later.
She’s heading home.
