Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 145
CHAPTER 90-1
The security footage kept replaying on the dusty computer screen and every time the motorcycle appeared, the same uneasy feeling settled deeper inside me.
I stood beside Jace while Derek leaned closer to the monitor, pausing the recording at several different points.
“Run that section again.” I said and the footage rewound.
The motorcycle appeared near the edge of the depot and although the rider’s face remained hidden beneath the helmet, Derek focused on the shape of the bike, the jacket and the markings visible along the side.
“That’s him.” I said and Jace looked toward him.
“You’re sure?” Jace asked and Derek nodded.
“One hundred percent.” I said as I folded my arms.
“Who is he?” I asked as Derek zoomed in on the screen.
“Name’s Tyler Grant.” Derek said as Jace’s expression hardened.
“Black Reapers?” Jace asked.
“He’s one of their riders.” Derek said and my stomach tightened.
“How do you know?” Jace asked and Derek pointed toward the screen.
“I’ve seen him at their gatherings before, and I’ve seen this bike several times.” Derek said.
He switched to another image stored on the computer. The photograph showed a group of men standing beside motorcycles and there he was. Same rider. Same bike. Same jacket and my heart began pounding.
“So we finally have proof.” I said and Derek nodded.
“Yes.” Derek said.
Jace stared at the images for several seconds and I expected anger or for him to start talking about retaliation. Instead, he remained completely still.
“What are you thinking?” I asked as his eyes stayed on the screen.
“I’m thinking.” He said.
“About revenge?” I asked and he finally looked at me.
“No.” He said.
“No?” I asked.
“We’re not doing anything stupid.” Jace said and Derek raised an eyebrow.
CHAPTER
“That might be the first time I’ve heard you say that.” Derek said but Jace ignored him.
“We’ve been reacting to them since this started, and that’s exactly what they want.” Jace said and I watched him carefully
“So what do we do?” I asked.
“We stop reacting.” Jace said and Derek nodded slowly.
“That makes sense.” Derek said and Jace pointed toward the footage.
“This gives us information, but it doesn’t give us everything.” Jace said.
“We know who he is.” I said.
“We know one rider was there.” Jace said.
“Isn’t that enough?” I asked.
“No.” Jace said as he turned toward me.

“It’s enough to prove someone connected to the Black Reapers was involved, but it’s not enough to tell us who gave the order.” He added.
“Victor.” I said.
“Probably.” He said.
“But you don’t know.” I said.
“No. And until we know, I’m not giving him exactly what he wants.” He said as he looked back at the screen and I understood immediately.
“You want him to think we’re still guessing.” I said.
“Exactly.” He said and Derek smiled.
“Now that’s a plan.” Derek said.
The next morning, Jace contacted Sarah and we met her quietly at a small café away from the clubhouse and she arrived wearing ordinary clothes instead of her police uniform.
She sat across from us and placed her coffee on the table.
“What do you have?” Sarah asked and Derek slid a photograph across the table so Sarah glanced at it and her expression changed slightly.
“Where did you get this?” She asked.
“Security footage.” Derek said and she looked at the photograph again.
“That’s Tyler Grant.” Jace said and my pulse quickened.
“So you know him?” I asked because Sarah didn’t answer directly.
“I know the name.” She said.
