Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 192
CHAPTER 113-2
“One witness described several people wearing dark clothing, but nobody got a clear look at their faces.” She said.
“Any plates?” I asked.
“Nothing useful.” She said and Derek pointed toward the photograph.
“What about the tire tracks?” Derek asked.
“Too damaged to identify the exact vehicles.” She said and I leaned against the table.
“Then we’ve got nothing.” I said and Sarah shook her head.
“We have something.” She said and I looked at her.
“We know another group is operating in this area.” She added.
The words settled heavily between us.
Another group.
For months, I had believed the conflict had two sides. The Iron Vipers and the Black Reapers. Now there was someone else moving between us.
Someone who could steal from either club while everyone was busy blaming each other and I looked at
Derek.
“How long?” I asked as he understood immediately.
“You think they’ve been around before this.” Derek asked.
“I think we need to find out.” I said and Derek nodded.
“We’ll go through the previous incidents.” Derek said as Sarah watched us.
“Why?” She asked.
“The salvage yard.” I said.
“The break-in?” She asked.
“Yes.” I said.
“The cameras were destroyed, but almost nothing was stolen.” She said and Derek nodded.
“The missing journal pages are another possibility.” Derek said and Sarah looked at me.
“You think the same people are responsible?” Sarah asked.
“I don’t know.” I said and I hated saying those words.
“But I’m not ruling it out.” I added as Sarah gathered the reports.

Then be careful.” She said.
“We will.” I said as she looked directly at me.
“Jace, don’t underestimate whoever did this.” She said.
“I won’t.” I said.
Derek and I left the station, and the ride back to the clubhouse felt much heavier than the ride there.
When we arrived, Paige was waiting and she walked toward me immediately.
“What happened?” Paige asked as I looked at her.
“The Black Reapers lost a weapons shipment.” I said and her eyes widened.
“Lost?” I asked.
“Someone intercepted it before it reached them.” I said.
“Who?” She asked.
“We don’t know.” I said and she glanced toward Derek.
“Was it the Iron Vipers?” She asked.
“No.” Derek said and her shoulders relaxed slightly.
“Good.” She said as I nodded.
“Victor doesn’t believe that.” I said and she sighed.
“Of course he doesn’t.” She said.
We walked inside, and I explained what Sarah had told us.
Paige listened quietly, and when I finished, she looked thoughtful.
“Someone is stealing from them.” She said.
“Yes.” I said.
“And they might be stealing from you too.” She said as I nodded.
“That’s what I’m thinking.” I said.
She looked toward the table where Derek had placed the photographs.
“Then maybe this isn’t about the war.” She said as I studied her.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“Maybe someone is using the war.” She said and her words stopped me as Derek looked at her.
“Using it how?” Derek asked.

“Everyone expects the Iron Vipers and Black Reapers to attack each other, so if someone else does something, everyone immediately assumes the other club did it.” She explained and I looked at Derek.
“She’s right.” I said and Derek nodded slowly.
“That would explain why they didn’t take much from the salvage yard.” Derek said.
“They were searching for something.” Paige said.
“And the missing journal pages could be connected.” I added as her expression changed.
“Uncle Will’s journals.” She said as I nodded.
“We need to know what was on those pages.” I said as Paige crossed her arms.
“I’ve been thinking about that too.” She said.
“Then we’ll go through them again.” I said.
The rest of the evening was spent reviewing what we knew.
We checked dates, locations, security footage, vehicle descriptions, and every report we could find.
The more we looked, the more uncomfortable the pattern became. There were incidents that didn’t quite
fit Victor’s usual behavior.
There were movements that hadn’t made sense. There were unexplained gaps. And now there was a
stolen weapons shipment.
By midnight, Derek rubbed his eyes.
“We’re missing something.” Derek said.
“Definitely.” I said and Paige looked exhausted.
“You should sleep.” I said but she gave me a tired smile.
“So should you.” She said.
“I will.” I said.
She headed upstairs, and I stayed behind with Derek and we looked over the reports one more time.
“Whoever this is. They’re patient.” Derek said.
“And organized.” I said.
“They’re also watching both clubs.” He said as I looked toward the dark windows.
“Then eventually they’ll make a mistake.” I said.
Across town, Victor Kane stood inside the Black Reapers’ warehouse.
The stolen shipment had become the only thing anyone was talking about.
His men stood around him, waiting for orders. Victor held one of the photographs from the scene.
