Summary for Chapter 290: Ride With Me (Paige and Jace)

Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 290

CHAPTER 164-1

Paige’s POV

By nine in the morning, Lawson Customs was already packed, and I stood near the front office with my coffee while watching three customers wait for estimates, two motorcycles sat outside for scheduled service, and another four filled the workshop.

The noise was almost ridiculous, but I found myself smiling because this was exactly the kind of chaos I had once dreamed about.

Engines rumbled, tools clattered against metal, customers talked over one another, and Mia moved through everything with the calm confidence of someone who knew how to control the madness.

“Mrs. Carter’s bike is ready for pickup, and she has already paid.” Mia called from behind the counter.

“Perfect.” I said.

“Mr. Wilson wants his estimate updated before he approves the restoration.” She said.

“I will handle that after I finish the Road King.” I said.

“Ben needs the parts order approved.” She said and I looked toward the workshop.

“Tell him to bring it to me.” I said.

“He already did.” She said as she held up a clipboard, and I laughed.

“Of course he did.” I said.

Mia had become the center of the operation, and I realized Lawson Customs would probably collapse into paperwork if she ever took a day off.

“What?” She asked when she noticed me staring.

“Nothing. I was just thinking that I don’t know what I would do without you.” I said.

“You would probably spend all day covered in grease and forget to answer your phone.” She said.

“That sounds accurate.” I said.

“It also sounds like a terrible business plan.” She said and I laughed before returning to the workshop.

The first motorcycle waiting for me was an older Harley belonging to a longtime customer, and the restoration had already taken several weeks because the previous owner had neglected it for years.

I pulled on my gloves and leaned over the engine, but before I could begin, I noticed Ben working on another bike across the workshop.

He was handling everything himself while Ben stood nearby with his arms folded, and I watched as Aiden removed the damaged component, checked the replacement, and fitted it without asking for help.

Ben waited until he finished before speaking.
