Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 292
CHAPTER 165+-
You really want to work?” I asked.
do.” He said.
“You know nothing about motorcycles.” I said.
“I know that.” He said.
“You don’t know how to use most of the equipment.” I said.
“I definitely know that.” He said.
“And I’m not letting you anywhere near an engine.” I said as he smiled.
“That seems reasonable.” He said.
I looked around the workshop, wondering what I could trust him to handle.
There were several simple jobs that needed doing, and although none required a mechanic, they still needed someone to handle them.
“You can sweep the floor.” I said, and Charles looked toward the broom.
“I can do that.” He said.
“You can also wipe down the workbenches when everyone finishes.” I said.
“I can do that too.” He said.
“And if you want something more difficult, you can organize the storage shelves.” I said and he looked toward the shelves.
“That might be beyond my qualifications.” He said and I laughed.
“Probably.” I said as he picked up the broom.
“Where do I start?” He asked as I pointed toward the far side of the workshop.
“Over there.” I said.

Charles nodded and started sweeping, so I returned to the motorcycle I had been working on, but every few minutes, I caught myself glancing toward him.
He was not particularly good at sweeping because he moved slowly, missed corners, and pushed dirt beneath one of the lifts, but he kept working.
Nobody laughed at him or made him feel like he did not belong and Ben eventually walked past and stopped.
“Need help?” Ben asked.
“I think I have it.” He said and Ben smiled.
“Okay.” I said.
He walked away, and Charles continued.

A little later, Charles moved to one of the workbenches and began wiping it down, while Aiden watched him for several seconds before looking at me.
“Your dad is cleaning the workshop.” Aiden said.
“I noticed.” I said.
