Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 303

CHAPTER 170-2

“It’s becoming more than that.” He said and I stepped closer.

“Do you want to know what frustrates me?” I asked but Damien did not answer.

” gave Charlotte everything she needed and she still chose Paige.” I said as his voice tightened.

“I gave my organization direction, and now half the people around me are afraid to make decisions.” I said as I pointed toward the door.

“Every time we get close, something happens.” I yelled as Damien looked away.

“Then we need to stop forcing things.” Damien said and I stared at him.

“Explain.” I said.

“We need information.” He said but I said nothing.

“We keep reacting to Paige, Jace, and the Iron Vipers, but we don’t know enough about what motivates them.” He added.

“That is why we are watching them.” I said.

“No. We are watching what they are doing now. We need to know what happened before all of this started. “Damien said as he leaned against the table and I narrowed my eyes.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“Paige’s family.” He said and I remained still.

“Her business, her uncle…” He said as the room seemed to grow quieter.

“Uncle Will,” Damien continued and I looked at him carefully.

“What about him?” I asked.

“There are old records connected to him, and Ethan has been searching through them.” Damien said.

“How do you know?” I asked.

“Because someone mentioned it.” He said.

“Who?” I asked as Damien hesitated.

“That doesn’t matter.” Damien said.

“It matters to me.” I said.

“I heard that Paige found something in his journals.” Damien said and I felt the anger inside me shift.

“What did she find?” I asked.

“I don’t know.” He said.

“Then find out.” I demanded and Damien noddedh

will.” He said as I turned toward the window.

Outside, the parking lot was nearly empty, and the darkness beyond it reminded me of how many things were happening that I couldn’t see.

Paige had always been harder to break than I expected.

She had survived losing her uncle. She had rebuilt Lawson Customs. She had survived the attacks.

She had Jace. She had the Iron Vipers and she even had her father trying to repair their relationship.

Every time I thought I had found something that would weaken her, she found another reason to stand.

That had to change.

“She thinks she is safe now.” I said as Damien remained behind me.

“She has the club around her. She thinks that makes her untouchable.” I said.

“What do you want us to do?” Damien asked as I turned around.

“Nothing yet.” I said and Damien frowned.

“Nothing?” Damien asked.

“We watch.” I said.

“And wait?” He asked.

“Yes.” I said.

“For how long?” He asked.

“Until we find something that matters.” I said and Damien nodded slowly.

I walked toward the desk and opened the drawer, pulling out a photograph that had been taken several years earlier.

It showed Paige outside Lawson Customs with Uncle Will beside her and I stared at the photograph.

There was something about the older man that had always bothered me, because he had been connected to things long before Paige ever understood what was happening.

Maybe he had known more than anyone realized. Maybe he had left something behind and maybe Paige had already found it.

I placed the photo on the desk.

“Find everything you can about Uncle Will.” I said as Damien looked at the photograph.

“Everything?” Damien asked.

“His business records, old associates, investigations, property, financial dealings, and anyone he trusted.” I said.

“That could take time.” Damien said.

“Then start now.” I ordered and Damien reached for the photo but I stopped him.

“Leave that.” I said as he looked at me.

“Why?” He asked.

“Because I want to keep it.” I said.

He nodded and walked toward the door but before he left, I spoke again.

“And Damien?” I asked and he turned.

“Don’t tell anyone I asked about him.” I added.

“Understood.” He said.

The door closed behind him, and I returned my attention to the photograph.

Paige had spent years believing her uncle was simply the man who taught her everything about

motorcycles and gave her the foundation for the life she built.

But people didn’t leave behind missing pages, strange symbols, hidden records, and warnings unless they had something worth hiding.

I ran my finger across the edge of the photograph.

“If you left something behind, Will. I will find it.” I whispered.

I looked toward the dark window, and for the first time in weeks, my frustration began turning into something colder.

Because Paige might be protected by Jace. She might be protected by the Iron Vipers. She might even believe her family was finally coming together.

But families had histories. And histories always had secrets.
