Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 302

CHAPTER 170-1

Victor’s POV

I threw the glass against the wall, and it shattered across the floor while the room fell silent.

They had learned better than to interrupt me when I was angry, because lately, anger had become the only thing keeping me from losing control completely.

Everything had gone wrong.

The attack on Lawson Customs had failed, because the Iron Vipers had arrived before we could do enough damage.

Charlotte had betrayed me, because she had taken refuge with the very people she had helped me target.

The recording had exposed too much, and now the Iron Vipers knew there was someone above me.

Then there was the attempted attack on the families, which had also failed because they had discovered the threat before anyone could get close.

Even the latest attempt to watch Paige had accomplished nothing.

We had followed them to the campsite, gathered information, and left without being noticed, but somehow, their security had still discovered the tracks.

paced across the room while Damien stood near the table.

“Tell me again how this is supposed to work.” I said.

Damien remained quiet and I stopped and looked at him.

“I asked you a question.” I snapped.

“We need to change our approach.” He said and I laughed without humor.

“That is what you have been saying for weeks.” He said.

“Because the current approach isn’t working.” He said.

“The current approach isn’t working because everyone around me keeps making mistakes.” I yelled as Damien’s jaw tightened.

“You have made mistakes too.” Damien said and the room went silent again as I stared at him.

“What did you say?” I asked.

“You heard me.” He said and I walked toward him slowly.

“You should be careful.” I said.

“I am being careful. That’s why I’m telling you the truth.” Damien said and I stopped only a few feet away.

“You think attacking Lawson Customs again would solve this?” I asked.

think we should stop playing games and hit them directly.” Damien said.

“No.”1 said and Damien frowned.

“Why?” He asked.

“Because Paige expects an attack.” I said.

“She expects another attack because we have already attacked her.” He said.

“Exactly.” I said as I walked back toward the table.

“If we attack the garage again, we give her what she wants.” I added.

“What she wants?” Damien asked.

“A clear enemy.” I said and Damien stared at me.

“She already knows you’re her enemy.” Damien said.

“She knows I hate her, but that isn’t the same thing.” I said.

I picked up another glass and turned it slowly between my fingers.

“Paige thinks she can survive anything as long as she has Jace and the Iron Vipers beside her.” I said as Damien remained silent.

“She believes they’re her family, her protection, and her future.” I added as I smiled faintly.

“That’s exactly why I don’t want to kill her.” I continued and Damien’s expression hardened.

“Then what do you want?” Damien asked.

“I want her to lose the things she believes she can’t live without.” I said as he stared at me for several seconds.

“You want to hurt her emotionally.” He said.

“I want her to understand what it feels like to watch everything she built fall apart.” I said

“That will take time.” He said.

“I have time. Pain is more useful when it lasts.” I said and I placed the glass back on the table and Damien shook his head.
