Summary for Chapter 347: Ride With Me (Paige and Jace)

Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 347

CHAPTER 191-2

I reached behind the counter and brought out an old metal toolbox and the room became quieter as Ben stared at it immediately

“That was Uncle Will’s.” Ben said as I nodded

“It was.” I said.

He slowly reached toward it, but then stopped.

“Paige, I can’t take that.” He said.

“You can.” I said.

“But it belonged to him.” He said.

“It did, and that is exactly why I want you to have it.” I said.

I opened the lid, revealing the old tools Uncle Will had carefully maintained for years.

Ben stared at them, and his eyes became glassy again.

“He used these?” He asked.

“For years. He believed tools should be passed down to people who respected the work.” I said and Ben swallowed.

“I don’t know what to say.” He said.

“You don’t have to say anything.” I said and he touched the handle carefully.

“I really can’t believe this.” He said.

“You’re ready for it.” I said and Ben looked at me.

“I will take care of it.” He said.

“I know you will.” I said.

He pulled the toolbox against his chest for a moment, and the entire workshop became quiet and Aiden cleared his throat.

“I think something got in my eye.” Aiden said and Mia laughed.

“You’re terrible at pretending.” Mia said.

Ben laughed too, wiping his eyes before anyone could tease him further.

“Thank you.” He said and I smiled.

“You’re family here, Ben.” I said and his expression softened.

“That means more than you know.” He said.

CHAPTER 19

The celebration continued for another hour because someone ordered pizza, Mia found sparkling cider, and Alden insisted that Ben needed a photograph beside his new toolbox.

By lunchtime, the workshop had returned to normal, but Ben carried himself differently.

There was confidence in his movements now, and when he worked on a motorcycle, he no longer second-guessed every decision.

I watched him for a moment and felt a quiet sense of satisfaction.

Lawson Customs was becoming more than a business.

It was becoming a place where people could learn, grow, and build something for themselves.

It was becoming the kind of place Uncle Will had always wanted.

Later that afternoon, Jace stopped by the workshop, and Ben immediately showed him the toolbox and Jace examined it before looking at me.

“That was Will’s?” Jace asked.

“It was.” I said as Jace nodded.

“He would have liked this.” Jace said.

“I think so.” I said and Ben smiled.

“I hope so.” Ben said as Jace put a hand on Ben’s shoulder.

“You earned it.” Jace said.

Ben nodded, and Jace walked toward me.

“You look happy.” Jace said.

“I am happy.” I said.

“Good.” He said as I leaned against him for a moment.

“Today feels important.” I said.

“It is important.” He said.

For once, I allowed myself to enjoy something without immediately searching for the next problem.

That was becoming harder lately, but today I wanted to celebrate Ben and everything he had accomplished.

I wanted to celebrate the business Uncle Will had helped me build.

Most importantly, I wanted to enjoy the feeling that our lives were finally moving forward.

Unfortunately, peace never seemed to last very long.

Near closing time, I remembered something I needed to discuss with Jace.

CHAPTER 1912-

There is one thing we need to check tonight.” I said quietly and Jace looked at me.

“What?” He asked.

“The clubhouse vault.” I said and his expression changed.

“I thought we were waiting until tomorrow.” He said.

Claites

“We were, but after everything that has happened, I want to make sure the old records are still secure.” I said and Jace nodded.

“We can check it after everyone leaves.” He said.

“I want Ethan there too.” I said.

“That’s fine.” He said.
