Summary for Chapter 374: Ride With Me (Paige and Jace)

Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 374

CHAPTER 205-1

Jace’s POV

The warehouse sat behind a row of abandoned industrial buildings, and from the outside it looked exactly like the kind of place nobody would notice unless they already knew it existed.

The windows were dark, the loading doors were closed, and weeds had grown through cracks in the concrete surrounding the building.

Sarah’s cruiser stopped across the street, and several other police vehicles followed behind her.

I stood beside Paige near the Iron Vipers vehicles, but neither of us moved toward the warehouse.

Sarah had made that clear before we arrived.

The police were going in alone.

“We stay here.” Derek said and I nodded.

“We don’t interfere.” I said as Paige folded her arms.

“And if they need backup?” Paige asked.

“We let them ask.” I said as she looked at me.

“That’s difficult.” She said.

“I know.” I said.

It was difficult for all of us.

We had spent months dealing with threats, attacks, surveillance, and people who seemed determined to destroy everything we had built, but this time the law was finally moving against Victor’s operation.

Sarah stepped out of her vehicle and spoke briefly with the officers surrounding her and then she looked toward us.

“Stay where you are.” She called and I nodded.

She turned back toward the warehouse and the officers moved forward.

Everything happened quickly after that.

Two officers reached the side entrance while another team moved toward the loading doors.

Sarah stood behind them, watching every movement. Then the doors were breached and police flooded inside.

Paige’s hand found mine and I squeezed it.

Neither of us spoke.

We could hear distant shouting from inside the warehouse, followed by several loud commands.

Then came the sound of metal hitting concrete and a few seconds later, someone shouted that they had a -suspect.

Another voice answered and then the warehouse erupted into movement.

Officers began bringing men outside.

The first man had his hands cuffed behind his back, while another followed with blood running from a cut above his eyebrow.

A third man kept protesting that he had nothing to do with the Black Reapers but Sarah ignored the excuses as she directed officers toward the waiting vehicles.

Derek watched closely.

“How many?” Derek asked.

“Four so far.” Mason said.

“Five.” Ethan corrected.

Another suspect was brought outside. Then another and I stared at the men.

I recognized two of them.

They had been seen around Victor’s compound before. One had even been present during the attack on Lawson Customs and I felt my jaw tighten.

“That’s enough to prove the connection.” Paige whispered.

“Probably.” I said.

A police officer suddenly hurried from the warehouse.

“Detective Collins!” He said as Sarah turned.

“What?” She asked.

“We found motorcycles.” He said and her expression changed.

“How many?” She asked.

“Eight.” He said and Paige’s fingers tightened around mine.

“Stolen?” Sarah asked and the officer nodded.

“All of them.” He said as Sarah looked toward the warehouse.

“Anything else?” She asked.

“Weapons.” He said.

“How many?” She asked.

“Enough.” He said and Sarah’s jaw tightened.
