Summary for Chapter 375: Ride With Me (Paige and Jace)

Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 375

CHAPTER 205-2

One was a motorcycle that had been reported stolen nearly a year earlier. Another had belonged to a local businessman. A third had been taken from a dealership.

The warehouse was not simply a storage location. It was part of the operation and Sarah came over to us after nearly an hour.

“We have six arrests so far.” Sarah said.

“Black Reapers?” I asked.

“Known associates, yes.” She said.

“Victor?” I asked but she shook her head.

“Nothing.” She said.

I wasn’t surprised. Victor had survived too many raids already.

He always seemed to know when the walls were closing in.

“Damien?” Derek asked and Sarah’s expression tightened.

“Not here.” She said.

“Of course.” Derek said.

“We found evidence that he was here recently, but he left before we arrived.” She said and Paige frowned.

“How?” Paige asked.

“We’re still working that out.” Sarah said as Ethan stepped forward.

“What about Ridgeway Industrial Supply?” Ethan asked and Sarah looked at him.

“What about it?” Sarah asked.

“We found evidence connecting it to Blackstone Logistics.” Ethan said as Sarah’s expression changed.

“Where?” Sarah asked.

Ethan explained what we had found, and Sarah listened carefully.

When he finished, she looked back toward the warehouse.

“That may explain more than you realize.” Sarah said.

“What does that mean?” I asked.

“I’ll know more once my team finishes processing everything.” She said and she walked away before I could ask another question and I looked at Ethan.

“You heard that too?” I asked and he nodded.

CHAPTER 295

“She knows something.” Ethan said.

“Maybe.” I said as Paige looked toward the warehouse.

“Or she suspects something” Paige said.-

We had spent too much time acting on assumptions, and I wasn’t willing to do that anymore so we waited.

Eventually, the search team began carrying out more evidence.

Documents. Computer equipment. Boxes of financial records. Phones. Hard drives.

There were enough materials to keep investigators occupied for weeks.

The arrests continued as well.

By the time the search was nearly complete, nine men had been taken into custody.

Sarah confirmed that several were known Black Reaper associates, while the others were connected through stolen goods and weapons trafficking.

It was the largest break in Victor’s operation we had seen. Yet something still bothered me.

Victor was missing. Damien was missing.

And if they were both gone, then someone had warned them so I looked at the warehouse.

“Someone tipped them off.” I said as Derek nodded.

“I think so.” Derek said as Ethan looked toward the evidence boxes.

“Or they had an escape route prepared.” Ethan said.

“That would explain Damien.” Derek said.

“Not Victor.” Ethan said as I looked at him.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“Victor doesn’t leave without taking something important with him.” Ethan said and Paige turned toward

“What do you think he took?” Paige asked as Ethan shook his head.

“I don’t know.” Ethan said and that answer stayed with me.

After another hour, Sarah finally approached us.

The other officers were loading evidence into vehicles, while the arrested men had already been transported away.

The warehouse stood behind her with its doors open, and the bright police lights flashed against the darkening sky and Sarah stopped a few feet away.

“Paige, Jace.” Sarah said as I looked at her.

CHAPTER 20

“What did you find?” I asked.

“Enough to put several people in prison.” Sarah said.

“That isn’t what I asked.” I said and Sarah glanced around before lowering her voice.

“We found records connecting this warehouse to multiple shell companies.” Sarah said.

“Including Ridgeway?” I asked.

“Yes.” She said and Ethan stepped closer.

“What about Victor?” Ethan asked.

“Still missing.” She said.

“And Damien?” Ethan asked.

“Also missing.” She said as I looked toward the warehouse.

“So the raid didn’t catch the people running it.” I said.

“No.” Sarah said but her expression became more serious.

“But it did something else.” She added.

“What?” I asked.
