When we finally stood, Charlotte looked lighter.

“Are you going to tell Jace?” She asked and I looked at her.

“About the baby?” I asked and she nodded.

“Yes. Soon.” I answered and Charlotte smiled.

“He’s going to lose his mind.” She said and I laughed.

“He probably will.” I said.

“You should tell him tonight.” She said.

“I know.” I said.

We climbed into the truck and as I started the engine, my phone rang.

Mia so I answered.

“Hey.” I said and her voice was full of excitement.

“Paige, where are you?” She asked.

“I’m with Charlotte.” I said.

“Good, because I have news.” She said.

“What kind of news?” I asked.

“The best kind.” She said and I glanced at Charlotte.

“What happened?” I asked as Mia laughed.

“You need to come back to Lawson Customs.” She said.

“Why?” I asked.

“Because the property deal has been finalized.” She said and I frowned.

“What property deal?” I asked.

“The land behind the garage.” She said and I looked at Charlotte as Mia continued.

“The title transfer is complete, and there is more.” Mia said.

“What more?” I asked.

“The council approved the expansion plans.” She said and my mouth fell open.

“What?” I asked.

“We can build the additional workshop bays.” She said and I stared at Charlotte and she smiled,

“You’re kidding.” I said.

“I’m absolutely not kidding.” She said as Mia’s excitement grew.

“And there is one more thing.” She said as I laughed.

“What now?” I asked.

“Someone has offered to fund part of the community training program you wanted to start.” She

said and I blinked.

“That can’t be right.” I said.

“It is.” She said.

“Who?” I asked but Mia hesitated.

“You need to come back before I tell you.” She said and I laughed.

“You’re impossible.” I said.

“I learned from you.” She said and I ended the call and Charlotte looked at me.

“What happened?” Charlotte asked and I smiled.

“Lawson Customs just got bigger.” I said and she laughed.
