Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 98
CHAPTER 62-1
The motorcycle sat beneath the afternoon sunlight and I couldn’t stop staring at it. It was the kind of machine that made every mechanic in the room instinctively step closer, because even after decades of use, every line and detail had been preserved with remarkable care.
The chrome still caught the light, the dark leather seat showed only minor wear and the engine casing carried a few scratches, but nothing that couldn’t be restored.
I slowly walked around it, taking in every detail without touching anything. The man who had arrived with it watched me closely.
“My name is Oliver Hayes.” He finally said and I turned toward him.
“Paige Lawson.” I said.
“I know.” He said.
His smile was polite but there was something calculating about the way he studied the workshop.
“I’ve heard about you.” He added.
“Hopefully nothing terrible.” I said.
“Quite the opposite. I’ve been searching for someone capable of restoring this properly for nearly
two years.” He said as he gestured toward the motorcycle.
I crouched beside the front wheel and examined the suspension.
“You’ve taken good care of it.” I said.
“I’ve tried. I bought it from an estate several years ago, and I’ve kept it stored in a climate
controlled facility ever since.” He said and he sounded almost protective and I looked at him.
“Then why bring it here?” I asked.
“Because storage preserves a motorcycle, but it doesn’t bring it back to life.” He said.
That answer earned my attention so I stood and wiped my hands against my jeans.
“What exactly do you want?” I asked.
“Complete restoration.” He said.
“Mechanical?” I asked.
“Mechanical, electrical, cosmetic and historical preservation.” He said as I raised an eyebrow.
“That’s a big job.” I said.

CHAPTER 62 1
“I know.” He said.
“Some parts may need to be fabricated.” I said.
“I know.” He said.
“Original components can be difficult to source.” I said.
“I’ve already spoken with several suppliers. I came prepared.” He said as he reached into his jacket/ and removed a folder so I accepted the folder and opened it.
The photographs inside showed the motorcycle before it had been transported to the garage, along with records detailing its history, previous owners, maintenance records and original specifications so I flipped through several pages.
“This is impressive.” I said.
“I believe in doing things properly.” He said and I smiled faintly.
“So do I.” I said.
Oliver watched me for another moment.
“There’s one other thing.” He said and I looked up.
“The restoration needs to be authentic.” He added.
“I don’t use modern shortcuts unless they’re necessary for safety.” I said.
“Good. I don’t want a motorcycle that looks old. I want the motorcycle it was when it first left the factory.” He said and I closed the folder.
“Then we’re on the same page.” I said and Oliver smiled.
“Excellent.” He said.
I walked toward the workshop where Ben was already pretending not to listen and he failed
miserably.
“How much work does it need?” He asked and I laughed.
“You’ve been standing there for five minutes.” I said.
“I was checking the tire pressure.” He said.
“The tire is on the other side of the workshop.” I said and he glanced down at his hands.
“That explains why I couldn’t find it.” He said and I shook my head.
“Come look.” I said so Ben hurried over.

The moment he saw the motorcycle properly, his entire expression changed.
“You have got to be kidding me.” He said.
“I thought you’d like it.” I said.
“Like it?” He asked as he circled the bike.
“Paige, this thing is incredible.” He added and Oliver smiled.
“I’m glad someone appreciates it.” Oliver said and Ben looked at me.
“Can I help with the restoration?” Ben asked.
