Sacrificed To My Sister's Mate novel Chapter 104

< Chapter 104: Dream

anything she deemed wrong or unethical,” Mom answered and then sighed.

“Unethical?” Dante asked and Mom nodded.

Claim

“Magic has a really dark side, a side that Jade had to see and she didn’t agree with it. But she didn’t have a choice but to swallow it up,” Uncle said and I looked at him confused.

I don’t even know my own family anymore.

No one has ever told me or anyone else that Jade was capable of this.

Not only that, but most of the spells that they spoke about, I didn’t even know existed.

The blood cleanse spell, it felt like all this time I was doing nothing with my life.

“Sasha, take Dante to your room,” Mom said and I found myself smiling.

“You must be tired, I will take you to my room so you can have a shower,” I said and he shook his

head.

“No, I will wait for Jade to come here,” Dante answered and I sighed at this.

Even in front of my parents, he won’t even humor me by pretending that he is not in love with my

sister.

“Son you need to understand, Jade isn’t someone you can be with tonight,” Uncle pointed out and

Dante frowned.

“Then it means that I should be there for her tonight,” he said and I rolled my eyes at this.

He cares about his little mistress and not his mate at all.

I was about to say something but then Jade walked in covered in blood.

“How many casualties did we suffer?” Mom asked Jade who sighed.

“We lost 20 people, a few others are seriously injured but I have handled the most critical cases,”

Jade answered.

“Well, thank god you were here tonight. Only you can bring someone back on the brink of death,”

Mom said to Jade.

What the hell?

“You must be tired, it must have taken a lot from you to heal Jay. You should rest,” Jade said to

Mom.

“I will rest eventually, but there is still a lot to do,” Mom answered and Jade nodded.

“You did that? Nice,” Jade said pointing out at the large crowd that was silent screaming.

There is no best way to describe it, they were obviously still screaming but you couldn’t hear a

thing.

“Yes, their screaming was giving me a headache,” she answered.

I looked at them, these two hate each other right?

One of the things that I liked about Mom was she didn’t worship the ground that Jade walks on like

everyone.

But now listening to what she had to say and her behavior made me realize something.

Mom might just be Jade’s biggest fan which I find really annoying.

“You are so cool sister in law,” Nick said and I looked at him.

I had noticed something, everyone in Dante’s family seemed to call Jade sister-in-law.

Even Dante’s henchmen seem to listen to her than me.

That night when Olivia’s brother came back home all injured and beat up she ordered them and

they followed her orders right away.

Hell, the same thing happened here tonight with the witches.

Speaking of Olivia’s brother, I wish I knew the man that wants my sister.

I would hand her over to him on a silver platter and I will get my mate back.

“I was going to wait until midnight but I am tired. I will end this now, I think they have suffered enough,” Jade said and she walked out.

I guess everyone was just as curious as me because we walked out with her.

She undid whatever it was my mother did and now you could hear the screams.

And they were begging for death, begging to die.

“You want to die don’t you?” Jade asked them and they all agreed.

“Kill is now,” one of them begged.

“Okay, I will give you an option to die. But I will only kill you at midnight as promised,” Jade said looking up.

It was only dusk now, there were still a few hours left before midnight.

Jade chanted a few spell words and then touched the ground.

I watched as the ground opened up and underneath it was what seemed like lava.

“This is what we call a hellfire, it’s so powerful they believe that it’s as hot as the fire in hell. You can jump in here if you want to die,” she said with a smile.

“The problem is that you won’t die instantly, it will take a minute or two to completely die. If you want your misery to end then you can jump in,” she added.

I watched as an entire army ran to their own deaths.

They would rather burn alive than go through that pain.

I stood there frozen, not because of the scene in front of me but because was worst nightmare

coming true.

How is this even possible?

We walked inside and my eyes landed on my mother.

“So it wasn’t a dream,” I said and she looked at me confused.

“What are you talking about?” she asked me and I scoffed.

“8 years ago when we were coming from vacation. What I saw wasn’t a dream,” I said and she just shrugged.

“I never said it was,” she pointed out and I scoffed at this.

“But you didn’t correct me,” I retorted.

Flashback:

The car suddenly stopped and I opened my eyes.

“Jade, you can take care of this alone right?” Mom asked Jade who nodded.

“Yes, it should take less than 5 minutes,” Jade answered and I looked at them confused.

“Make it less than 3,” Mom retorted and Jade nodded.

“Honey, don’t you think that we should help her?” Dad asked and Mom shook her head.

“She can handle it, she is going to be the coven leader. She should learn to handle these lowlifes all

on her own,” Mom answered.

Jade got out of the car and I looked ahead and realized that there was a crowd of people.

I watched as what appeared to be lava completely swallowed up those people and killed them on the spot and nothing was left.

Not even their bones, they all just disappeared as if they never existed.

End of flashback

Back then, I had stolen some wine before we left our vacation spot.

So I just dismissed what happened as a nightmare and I told Mom about it.

She just nodded and didn’t say anything.

I always knew Jade was better at magic than me, but I didn’t realize the gap was this big.

I didn’t even know that she could sing, and she does it better than me.

Jade has always upstaged me my whole life and she wasn’t even trying.

What will happen once she actually tries?

Claim

She needs to go, I don’t care if she dies, or marries that maniac who wants her but Jade needs to

leave.

But how will I do it?

Chapter 105: Never too late

Jade’s pov

“Are you okay?” Dante asked me and I nodded.

“I just need some time alone,” I said and then walked off.

He didn’t say anything to stop me or try to follow me.

I sat down on my spot and just processed everything.

I didn’t want Dante and the others to find out about my powers like that.

But I know, I can’t hide forever, eventually everything will come out.

But it does make me wonder, will they look at me the same way after they see what I am?

My mother sat next to me and handed me a glass.

“We have never had a drink together,” she said pouring alcohol contents into my glass.

“Did you forget? I am trying to get pregnant,” I reminded her and she just kept the glass up.

I took it and gulped it down and she poured me another me..

I guess I am not pregnant, if I was she wouldn’t have offered alcohol.

“You did well,” she said and I looked at her surprised.

“Did you just compliment me?” I asked her and she sighed at this.

“Don’t act like this is the first time,” she said and I looked up.

She is right, this isn’t the first time really.

When I was away I had time to think and look back at things.

Yes, in her eyes it always felt like I wasn’t enough.

But I have gotten her praises which is more than what I can say for others.

“You seemed relieved that you are not pregnant yet,” she pointed out and I sighed.

“I have decided to stay with Dante,” I said and she nodded.

“Your sister called me crying, she wanted to cancel the alliance,” she answered.

“Then why didn’t you? Your precious daughter asked you. You forced me to marry him,” I pointed

out.

“And do you hate me for it? Knowing what you know now, if you could go back to that day. Would

your answer be no?” she asked me.

I know what she is trying to say but it’s not like she knew that this was going to happen.

“Are you part of that we that Alpha Howard was talking about?” I asked her and she just smiled.

“But you didn’t answer my question,” she said and I sighed.

“You didn’t ask one,” I pointed out and she chuckled at this.

“Why are you relieved that you aren’t pregnant? Dante loves you and you love him right?” she asked

me and I nodded.

“I just don’t think that I would be a great mother,” I answered and she nodded.

“My mother was a really shitty mother, and I grew up to be just like her. I became everything I hated and loathed as a child,” she said and then looked at me.

“My favorite child hates me more than anything,” she said with tears in her eyes.

Favorite child?

Is she talking about me?

“I am your favorite child?” I asked her and she chuckled and nodded.

“Oh well, that’s really f****d up,” I said and she nodded.

I always thought that I was her least favorite child, with how she treated me.

“No one in this family knows me better than you. You have seen my darkness, something even your

father has never seen. I didn’t know how to love someone, I only learned once I started training you,

she said.

“You were so full of life. And seeing you that happy again feels really good,” she said and I sighed.

I have heard from my Aunt and Uncle about their mother when they were growing up.

And I had the displeasure of meeting my grandmother and every meeting with her traumatized

I hardly saw her and I can’t imagine what it must have been like being raised by such a woman.

“I have no excuse for how I treated you. Even if I did, it was still a really f****d up way of preparing you,” she said and I frowned.

“Preparing me, preparing me for what?” I asked her.
