Chapter 103: These people
Dante’s pov
He was like those dummies that people use to practise first aid.
I mean they are usually filled with air.
But he looked like those dummies but deflected.
And he was still alive, how is this even possible?
Claim
“You were asked to paint this little town of mine red. How about I paint this little army of yours red
with your blood?” she asked him.
“Please forgive me,” the man said his voice barely there anymore.
“Too late, Jade answered, and then the man suddenly burst.
Like a f*****g balloon, he burst like he was a balloon filled with water.
Just as she said, his blood covered his army and they all screamed in horror.
None of them could believe what they saw.
Hell, even I can’t believe what I saw because how on earth is that even possible?
How can she do that?
I watched as the people started taking a few steps back.
“They say that you must first kill the leader when in war. Because he is usually the one everyone has trust in,” Mrs Bennett explained.
“I taught you well, look them quivering in fear. Now give them hell,” Mrs Bennett added.
“I was already going to do that, I hate it when you tell me what to do,” Jade retorted and her
mother chuckled at this.
Jay’s heartbeat was picking up and his mother was busy applying some things to him and chanting
spells.
There is an army, I admit that I can take on about a couple hundred of them.
But that doesn’t explain how calm everyone is.
Hell, her uncle is not sitting down and just looking at the sky.
If the sun wasn’t above us right now I would have thought I was dreaming..

But its warmth on my skin told me that this wasn’t a dream at all.
I looked around and everyone else had the same reaction as me.
They were shocked and I could see fear in their eyes.
The screams of that man, you could tell that he was a man that was in great pain.
“Now, I can focus my attention on you,” Jade said as she looked at the army.
“I noticed that there are rouge witches among you. I hate it when people kill for their own
amusement, but I can’t stand those who kill their own kind,” she explained and then sighed.
She seemed deep in thought as if she was thinking about what to do with them.
“There was something that they did to such witches,” her mother said and Jade looked at her.
“I taught you the spell, remember the catalyst spell?” her mother asked her and Jade nodded.
“A catalyst spell? What is that?” Sasha spoke up.
“A catalyst is a substance that can speed up a chemical reaction,” Piers explained to Sasha.
“I know that, but what is the spell?” Sasha asked looking at her mother.
Claim
“Well, it was a spell which was used a long time ago to punish people. They would turn you into a rouge as punishment for some crime and then speed up the process,” her mother explained.
“Speed up the process? What process?” I asked.
“Remember what Jade showed you that night? She showed you that happens to a rouge witch,”
her uncle said.
“Yes, they lose their magic, go crazy, and then die in a few years,” I answered.
“We speed up that process, instead of years, it happens in a matter of minutes,” Jade said and I
watched as she raised both her hands.
“Well then, let’s get started,” she said with a sinister smile on her face.
The dark aura around her suddenly got even darker as she did this.
Suddenly, a few people in the crowd started running around like they had lost their minds.
They were screaming in pain and banging their heads against anything they could find.
Just like that woman, they were all begging for death.
“Dante, if I remember correctly you told me that your first shift is the most painful thing in the world,” Jade said without even turning around to look at me.

“Yes, the pain is extremely excruciating,” I answered and she nodded.
Claim
“How about this? I will make you relive that day over and over again, but you are no longer kids now. I am sure your pain tolerance has gone up, so I will spice things up,” Jade informed the army.
I couldn’t believe what I saw, they started changing into their werewolves.
But their screams and the slow rate they were changing made me take a few steps back.
Is this what Jade is capable of?
They are changing at the same rate as a newbie when they get their wolf for the first time.
It takes about 10 minutes to fully turn into a wolf unlike how.
It takes me less than a minute to turn to one and for most less than 2 minutes or three more.
And it isn’t as painful as the first time but it still isn’t a good thing.
You are bending your bones and everything in your body changes.
“Well, you are screaming so loudly and I haven’t even increased the pain. Let’s see who can scream the loudest, whoever wins gets to die first. I will increase the pain ten-fold as promised,” she said
and then chuckled at this.
I watched as she closed both her hands and the screams got even louder.
“You will repeat this process until midnight tonight, then you will die,” she said and then turned
back to her mother.
“How is Jay?” she asked her mother who sighed.
“He will be fine, we made it just in time,” her mother answered and a couple of people came and
took Jay away.
I looked at them, they didn’t even seem fazed by the army of people screaming and crying.
They just went about their business like it wasn’t anything.
I watched as Jade walked off and as I was about to follow her I was blocked once again.
“When she is like this, it’s best to give her some space to breathe,” her mother said.
“Yes, or she could kill you too,” her uncle added.
“What the f**k was that? Why are you all calm about this? She just took down an entire army alone in less than 5 minutes,” Piers pointed out.
“5 minutes huh? That was longer than usual, she is pissed isn’t she?” her aunt said as she stood

behind us.
Her eyes landed on the army of men and women screaming in pain.
What the hell is going on here?
Clair
“And what about them? Are you just going to leave them like this?” Nick asked and Mrs Bennett
nodded.
“Yes, she will deal with them when she does,” she answered.
“Knowing her, she probably made it impossible for them to faint. They will remain conscious until she decides it’s enough,” her aunt said casually shaking her head.
“Your daughter just took out an entire army alone like they were nothing. How is everyone else so chill about this?” Piers asked again.
“Yes, that was cool and all but damn,” Nick also added.
“Don’t you know what Jade’s nickname is? They call her a one-woman army, where do you think
she got the name?” her uncle asked us.
“That girl, she might seem really fragile but is one of the most powerful witches you will ever find.
Brimming with natural talent, plus she isn’t scared of working.hard. That right there, is a masterpiece,” her mother said with a proud smile.
“Stop talking about her like she isn’t human,” Mr Bennett said as he stood there looking at his daughter’s work.
“Well, looking at this, I would say that it’s a masterpiece but they are loud,” he said and Mrs Bennett
said.
I watched as she raised her hand and there was silence.
You could tell that they were still screaming in pain but I couldn’t hear a thing.
“I don’t want to offend you, after seeing what happened here today that is the last thing I want to
do,” Piers said, and then his eyes landed on me.
“But who the f**k are these people? This should be impossible right?” he asked me and I just stood
there.
He isn’t wrong for asking this question, I also have the same question in mind right now.
I looked at Sasha and she was born and raised here but seemed just as shocked.
Who the f**k are these people?

I looked at him, I could see the shock in his eyes.
Hell, everyone was shocked by this except my mother and uncle.
She took down an entire army like they were nothing.
I always knew that Jade was better at magic than me.
But I just thought that it was because she knew more spells than me.
I always thought that it was because she was getting trained personally by Mom.
But I know it.
I know deep down that I would have never been able to do that.
For a while, until I was 12, I was also trained by Mom as well.
What I saw Jade do at 10 without any proper training surprised me.
She did what I couldn’t do with all the training that I was getting.
“Well, Jade has always been a really powerful witch. Among all my students, I have never met anyone like her. Brimming with talent and determined to work hard to protect the people she loves,
“Mom answered.
I looked at her, Mom always said that Jade couldn’t do anything right.
“But you always criticized her, always said that she couldn’t do anything right,” I blurted out and everyone looked at her.
I don’t want to defend Jade at all, I hate her now more than ever.
The fact that she is capable of this and she is younger than me pisses me off even more.
What if Dante decides that only she is fit enough to be Luna?
She can protect his entire pack all her own and I can’t even protect myself.
“What always made me angry was Jade’s unwillingness to kill people. She didn’t like doing
