Jade’s pov

“I need to go to work,” I said to Dante and he frowned at this.

I looked at him, he had been acting differently these days.

I was only at home for one more day than him but he acts like he hasn’t seen me in years.

He has been working in my office and doesn’t want me to leave his sight.

“Yes, I will go with you,” he said and I sighed at this.

“No, you are making my co-workers uncomfortable when you go there,” I pointed out and he

looked at me.

“Uncomfortable? What are you talking about? Who is uncomfortable?” he asked me.

“He is the only family Olivia has left, if anything happens to him she will be heartbroken,” she said and I sighed.

I walked back to my office and found some omega waiting for me there.

“Please take off your shirt,” I said and he did as I told him and I started looking at his injuries.

“You are the doctor, I am here so you can tell me what is wrong,” he pointed and I found myself

smiling a bit at this.

“That is true, but I am the nurse and I am still trying to figure out how werewolves heal,” I explained myself and he nodded.

“Well, you seem like a really smart person. I am sure that you will figure it out,” he said and I smiled

at this.

“Well, you seem like a sensible young man,” I said and watched as he frowned.

“I think we are the same age,” he pointed out and I looked at his chart and he was right.

“So, you are an old soul huh?” he mocked and I chuckled a bit.

“Yes, I am just an old soul,” I answered and the door suddenly burst open.

I looked at Dante who was standing there but something was off.

His eyes had changed color and his staring at the omega like he wanted to kill him.

“Is this why you didn’t want me in your office?” he asked me and I sighed at this.

“I will look into your case. I can make something to help fastrack your healing,” I said to the omega

who nodded.

He took his shirt and tried to put it on but couldn’t do so.
