Chapter 135: Ethics

Jade’s pov

I looked at Dove and she is really cute.

“You will sleep next to Mommy okay and I will sleep next to Daddy,” Tom said as we got them.

ready for bed.

Dove just nodded, she hadn’t said a word ever since she came here.

All she does is nod as Tom speaks but she did eat the food I made.

I slept next to Dove while Dante slept next to Tom just as Tom planned.

They both fell asleep in a matter of seconds and I found myself smiling even more as I looked at

them.

“How did you know that I would bring Dove with me?” Dante asked me and I smiled.

“Because you are a good father,” I answered and he sighed.

I noticed that he seemed like he had something he wanted to talk about.

So we walked to the kitchen and sat down to have some ice cream.

“I am going to kick out Sasha,” he said and I paused to look at him.

“Why?” I asked him and he sighed at this.

“She doesn’t even care about her own daughter at all. You know, everyone in my family is always taking care of Dove. But her mother doesn’t even spare her a glance,” he explained and I nodded.

“Well that is the price of dark magic,” I answered and then sighed.

My sister was so hellbent on winning against me that she didn’t care if she lost herself in the

process.

And she has lost herself in the process, I know my sister always wanted a child.

But now that she has one, she can’t even care or bond with her child.

I have a child of my own so I don’t understand how other women who can’t have kids of their own

feel.

But having a child against all odds even if it means you can’t bond with them defeats the whole

point of having one.

We bring children to this world so we can nurture them and love them.

But my sister can’t even do that now, she can’t even take care of her own child.

“Do you think that she will just agree to walk away?” I asked him.

“I don’t care, I am going to kick her to the curb. I am sick and tired of seeing her face, I still haven’t forgiven her for what she did,” he said, before I could say anything Dante looked up.

“We also want ice cream,” Tom said and Dante started laughing out of the blue.

“When we came out here I had other intentions, so we need to be really careful from now on,” he said and I rolled my eyes at this.

“Come on kiddos,” I said to the kids and picked up Dove and put her on the kitchen counter.

I handed her a spoon as well so she could eat with me.

I watched how her eyes never left my face and she kept looking at me.

“Do I have something on my face?” I asked Dove who shook her head.

But she didn’t stop staring at me and I looked at Dante who was also confused.

“She usually avoids eye contact and looking at other people,” he said and I looked at Dove.

Her small hand touched my face and she smiled as she did this.

“Do you recognize her from the picture in Daddy’s room?” Dante asked her and she nodded.

“She is beautiful isn’t she?” Dante asked and she nodded.

“Yes, my Mommy is the prettiest in the whole world,” Tom said with a proud smile.

I found myself smiling at this and I thought of something.

“Should I show you something really cool?” I asked Dove who nodded.

I closed my eyes and did the spell I once showed Dante a long time ago.

I brought the stars to the room and for Dove, I added a few butterflies as well.

I opened my eyes and looked at Dove who was in awe as she looked around.

“Wow,” she said in a voice that was a little bit above a whisper.

“I know, this is great, isn’t it? My Mommy is a magician,” Tom said as he held Dove’s hand.

I looked at Dante who was looking at Dove with tears in his eyes.

“What’s wrong?” I asked him and he wiped away his tears.

“That is the first time hearing my daughter’s voice. That is the first word Dove has ever uttered,” he

explained and I looked at Dove.

Dante walked towards me and gave me a really tight hug.

“Thank you,” he whispered in my ear.

When he pulled away we found the two kids busy still looking at the stars and trying to touch them.

Dante’s smile got wider when he heard Dove chuckle for the first time as they were now busy chasing the butterflies and trying to catch one.

Poor guy couldn’t stop crying.

Dante and Dove stayed with us for two weeks and then he decided to go back home again.

The truth is, I am hoping that Dante being here will draw that madman out.

I have noticed something about him, he tends to send a warning before he attacks.

I am hoping that he will come to send me a warning and I will kill him myself.

Then we can go home and finally be reunited with my family again.

Dante has a lot of duties now that he is Alpha King and can’t ignore them at all.

But he said he would come back and spend another week with us!

This will be his routine until we can finally get to go home.

Since Dove and Tom get along, he has decided that he will bring her back with him again.

I must say,

she is a cute child and I am happy that she feels free around me.

You know something about kids, they are so pure that their love can melt even the coldest of

hearts.

So it does make me wonder, it is possible that deep down my sister has some kind of love for her

daughter right?

It doesn’t matter,.if she won’t give her a mother’s love then I will.

It’s a little weird how things have changed right?

Things are the opposite of how they should have been.

It’s my sister who was supposed to be taking care of Tom like he was her own.

If things had been different, then I would have been alone right now.

Actually, I don’t even want to imagine how life would have been like without my son or Dante and

now little Dove as well.

I think I can forgive my sister for what she did that night that led to Dove being born

Claim

. I think I can completely overlook the fact that she consulted dark magic just to get to where she

is now.

I think this is what even the most brilliant minds in this world still can’t answer.

It’s a matter of ethics, because the result is so cute and innocent does it make everything else

okay?

Even if people were hurt in the whole process, does it make it okay if the result is a child as cute as

Dove?

I guess it’s a hard question to answer.

All I know is that Dove is completely innocent and deserves nothing but love.

I finished up with my work and as I was about to go home one of the nurses called me.

“There is a lady in the cafeteria waiting for you, she says that she has something important to talk to you about,” the nurse said and I nodded.

Who could want to see me?

I walked to the cafeteria and I looked around and my eyes landed on a woman with brown hair like

mine.

But hers was now short and her green eyes landed on me and she smiled.

She got up and looked at me with a smirk on her face.

“Hello little sister, did you miss me?” Sasha asked me.

What the hell is she doing here?
