Chapter 140: Freedom
Jade’s pov
I looked at Sasha.
She was obviously surprised to see me.
Her eyes were on Tom.
He was now being fought over because people wanted to hug him.
She didn’t know, he didn’t tell her that I have a child with Dante.
And why is that? I mean it was clear that they were allies of a kind, then why not tell her?
I watched as my sister’s face as she was being filled with fury, and her eyes landed on me.
I gave her the sweetest smile I could master and then walked to her.

“Well, sister, look at how great things worked out. You wanted me to have a child with Dante, and I
did. And you also had a beautiful daughter,” I said, and then sighed.
“But why don’t you seem happy? You are Luna of the pack, aren’t you? And you also gave Dante a beautiful daughter. This is something that should be celebrated,” I added with a chuckle.
I watched as she was getting red with anger.
She then stormed off.
I guess she doesn’t know what to say or how to feel.
I bet she is going to her room and find a way to blame it all on me.
I would have stayed in my lane if she hadn’t come to me.
It’s a little funny, isn’t it? T
he person who made me realize that I should come back home doesn’t want me back home.
Actually, she got the opposite of what she wanted.
I looked at Addison.
She was just standing there looking at me.
She didn’t say anything, and my eyes landed on the child in her hands.
She then walked off without another word.

“She is happy that you are back,” Felix said, and I nodded at this.
I knew that she would be angry with me.
I ran away from home last time, and she was happy because it meant I was going to be free.
But the second time was different, I ran away and was also losing my freedom.
Freedom is loving who you want to love, staying where you want to stay.
Claim
Freedom is doing whatever makes you happy, and Addison has made it clear that she wants me to
be free.
“I will go and talk to her,” I said, and then followed my best friend.
I watched as she put the child to sleep, and then her eyes landed on me.
“What do you want?” she asked me, and I smiled.
“To apologize to my best friend,” I said, and she scoffed at this.
“You knocked me out when I tried to stop you from leaving,” she said, and I nodded.
“But there was a reason you were downstairs that night, right? You knew the decision I had made and that no one would change my mind,” I pointed out, and she scoffed.
“No, all I knew was that we were best friends since childhood. I thought that if there was anyone in this world who could stop you, then it was me. But it seemed like I had overestimated my importance in your life,” she said, and walked outside the balcony.
“That’s not true,” I responded, and she looked at me.
“It’s good that you are back, but don’t expect anything from me,” she said firmly, and I nodded at
this.
“I will respect your decision,” I said, and then turned around to leave.
“That’s it?” she asked me.
She seemed confused and angry.
“Yes, I am trying to respect your decision,” I answered, and she looked at me with disbelief.
“You are not supposed to do that. You are supposed to grovel, beg, and cry,” she explained, and I
smiled at this.
“You always said that friends don’t apologize to each other. Friends don’t ask and they don’t beg, if I did that, then we wouldn’t be friends anymore,” I retorted and watched how she turned away.

“You are such a b***h,” she said and I could hear the muffled cries in her voice.
I couldn’t help but chuckle at this and quickly ran to hug my best friend.
Claim
“I missed you like crazy, you owe me a baby shower and a bachelorette. The presents for all the birthdays you missed and international best friend days as well,” she said, and I chuckled at this.
“Well, it’s a good thing that I was promoted to head nurse. I think I have a few savings to pull that
off,” I said, and she chuckled at this.
“You look so beautiful, and you have a beautiful child as well,” I said, looking at her adorable son.
“Thank you, Tom is really handsome too. You named him after Tommy?” she asked me, and I
nodded.
“Then meet Tim,” she said, and my smile got bigger as I looked at her adorable son.
Dante had already told me about everyone and how they are doing.
He told me that Addison didn’t want Tommy’s name exactly, but still wanted to honour him
somehow.
So, they named her son something close to Tommy.
“I can’t believe it, our kids will be just like siblings. Tim and Tom,” she said, and I frowned.
“My son is the oldest, so why is it Tim and Tom?” I asked her, and she rolled her eyes at this.
“Because of alphabetical order, Tim comes before Tom,” she pointed out, and I frowned at this. I
don’t like the idea at all.
“My son is going to be Alpha King,” I reminded her.
“My son will be the Beta to the Alpha King,” she retorted, and I sighed at this.
“I wish you were here to see Dante’s hard work. The way he worked hard to be Alpha King,” she
said, and I nodded.
“But come to think of it, if you were there, maybe he wouldn’t have had the time,” she said and
winked.
I found myself blushing at this and watched as she chuckled.
“You two couldn’t get your hands off each other. But after you left and I mated with Felix, I could understand why,” she said, and looked at her wedding ring.
“And are you having a good married life? And come to think of it, I never asked Dante about your wedding. Was it beautiful?” I asked her and she shook her head.

“I didn’t have a wedding. How could I have one when my maid of honour was MIA?” she asked me.
What? Addison has always been the girl who would dress up and pretend to be a bride.
She cared more about the wedding than the actual person she would be marrying.
She used to say something along the lines of, ‘it’s not about the groom, it’s about me’.
“Well, I am back now. You can start planning,” I said, and she smiled.
“We can start planning, do you remember what my one dream was?” she asked me, and I thought
about it.
“Us getting married on the same day and having kids at the same time?” I asked her and she
nodded.
“The kid part is
not on the cards anymore, but we can still get married at the same time. You and Dante never had an official marriage,” she pointed out, and I nodded.
“What do you say? Shall we start planning for the wedding?” she asked me.
Is it the right time to be planning for something like that?
