Chapter 41: Used

Jade’s pov

“That’s a nice flower, where did you get it?” Sasha asked me and I sighed.

“What do you want?” I asked her.

She dragged me to her bedroom, there must be a reason for that.

“I have a solution to our little problem,” she answered and I looked at her.

Since when was it our little problem?

“Okay, I am listening,” I said and she walked near me.

She was trying to make sure that no one was listening to what we were saying.

“And what kind of event is that?” I asked her and she smiled.

“Well, werewolves from near packs will bring over their unmated werewolves and she-wolves here. In hopes that they will find their mate among the crowd,” she explained and I nodded.

“And how does that solve our problem?” I asked her.

“Well, the unmated werewolves and she-wolves of our pack will be coming to this event. So, we can do the barrier that you were suggesting we do,” she said and I nodded.

“Then, we will be able to eliminate those that don’t have any evil spirit,” I agreed.

The door opened and Alpha Dante looked at both of us.

“And we can also do schools and the clinic as well,” Sasha said with a smile.

“Do what?” Alpha Dante asked looking at his mate.

“Well, I came up with a solution for our problem. You know, to try and see if any more spirits came through,” she explained and Alpha Dante nodded.

“That is a good idea, then we can eliminate teenagers and kids from the list,” Alpha Dante said.

“Good idea,” he said to Sasha who blushed at this.

“We will get started right away. If that is okay with you Jade,” she said looking at me.

that the kids are in the clear,” Alpha Dante said looking at me.

I looked at my sister who just had a massive smile on her face.

“I also thought of doing a barrier on the day of the event,” Sasha said to Alpha Dante.

“It’s a good idea, all the mated and even the unmated werewolves will be there as well. It will help us clear a lot of people,” he said.

I looked at Sasha, the happiness in her eyes every time he compliments her.

“I was also telling Jade about the event,” Sasha said and then looked at me.

“You should attend, maybe you might be someone’s mate,” she suggested.

“I heard they talk about the importance of the mate bond. Maybe that might change how you feel about it, even my friend Vanessa is coming,” she added.

“Your friend?” Alpha Dante asked and she nodded.

“I told you about it, I told you that Vanessa will come and stay with us for a few days,” Sasha said.

Vanessa, I don’t like her at all, and part of it is because she has treated me like an enemy.

She is the one who always called me a thief and would say I try to steal things from Sasha.

I really don’t think I have the energy to deal with her.

Well, it’s a good thing that Addison is here.

My best friend will be able to talk back to her if she says anything Addison doesn’t like.

“Shall we go?” I asked Sasha who nodded and we went together to the school.

I did the spell while she just sat there pretending like she always does.

She is a really good actress, which I sometimes find to be very scary.

After the spell, I went straight to work, and after a few hours, I finally got to sit down.

“Well, you seem really tired,” Addison said and I nodded.

“I bought you something,” she said and put a chocolate bar on the table.

“Thank you so much for this,” I said and she looked at me.

“Did Alpha Dante give that to you?” she asked me and I nodded.

“I was wrong for stopping you. Go for it, do whatever you want with Alpha Dante,” she said and I

looked at her.

She seemed really pissed now that I am looking at her.

“Vanessa is here already huh?” I asked her and she nodded.

That girl has that kind of effect on people, especially on Addison.

I can’t stand her, but I don’t argue with her and usually ignore her.

“I thought about it. What normal person would rather share their husband with their sister?” she

asked me.

“No one, I would rather my husband slept with a complete stranger than with you,” she added.

I sighed and listened to Addison for another 30 minutes as she was telling me how angry I should
