Dante’s pov

“CALM DOWN,” Onyx said and I took a deep breath.

I was about to say something but I caught Tia’s scent.

Everyone else caught it as well and Mom got up from her chair and wiped away her tears.

The moment she walked in Mom ran to her and pulled her into a hug,

When they pulled away Tia looked at me and then at Jade.

“I couldn’t get the words you said out of my head,” she said to Jade.

I looked at Jade.

Did she say something to stop Tia from leaving?

“Well, I am glad that I was able to help. I am going to work now” she said getting up.

“No, please stay here,” Tia said and she looked at me.

“I am going to marry him, you will not tell me how I should live my life,” she said firmly.

I looked at my little sister, Tia had always been talkative but never really stood up for herself.

This is the first time I have ever seen her standing her ground.

“You know that is not possible, humans shouldn’t know of our existence,” I explained to her gently.

“But brother, I am sure there is a solution to all of this. We just need to find it,” she said as she held my hand.

Everyone’s eyes turned to Jade and she looked up and frowned.

“Why is everyone looking at me?” she asked them and they all seemed confused as well.

Why turn to her when looking for a solution?

And they did it simultaneously without even exchanging any words.

“Fine, there is a solution,” she said after some time.

“Why are you only saying this now?” Sasha asked and she shrugged.

“I don’t know, maybe it’s because I was told to mind my own business,” she answered and then looked at me.

“When I tried talking, you weren’t willing to listen to me,” she pointed out.

“What is your solution?” Tia asked her.

“Well, it’s a spell that can alter someone’s mind and thoughts,” she explained and I looked at her

confused.

“Alter, how?” I asked her and she thought of a good way to explain it.

“It’s almost like hypnosis,” she said.

“Wait, you want to hypnotize my mate?” Tia asked her and she nodded.

“And how? What will you do to him exactly and how will that help keep our identities a secret from

him?” Mrs Odell.

That’s just the thing. He needs to know the truth about who we are and who he is going to marry. So this spell will help us tell him and also make sure he keeps it a secret,” I explained.

“I have never heard of such a spell,” Sasha said and Jade nodded.

“It’s a forbidden spell, it was basically used the same way people use non-disclosure contracts,”

Jade answered.

“How does it work? Will it hurt him?” Tia asked and she shook her head.

“So what we are going to do is use the spell to create a barrier in his mind. He will only remember that the supernatural exist, but only when he is around you,” she explained to Tia.

“What? So if I am around him then he won’t know?” she asked her.

“We will make it so he is only aware of the existence of supernatural beings when he is around you. As in, the moment you are out of sight, then the whole existence of the supernatural beings will be locked in a corner of his memories or mind,” she explained.

“What you are saying is impossible,” Vanessa said.

“No, it is possible. What she is saying is that we will create a room of a kind in his mind. That room will have all the information he will learn about supernatural beings. But Tia is the key, she is the only one who can unlock that room,” Addison explained and Jade nodded.

“That sounds simple, but won’t it affect his daily to daily life?” Addison asked her and Jade shook

her head.

“No, actually this will help him in his day-to-day life,” Jade explained.

“He won’t have to constantly be worried or scared about who is supernatural and who is not. He will just continue with his day-to-day life,” I said and Jade nodded.

“Have you ever performed such a spell?” Felix asked her.

“No, but I have performed one that is similar. This spell was meant to completely erase a person’s

memory of certain things. I spent last night trying to modify it for her,” Jade said to Tia who smiled.

“You did that?” my sister asked.

“Yes, you came to me for help,” Jade answered.

I could see that she was doing her best to remain unaffected but she smiled when Tia gave her a

hug.

My younger sister looked at me and I could see how hopeful she was.

“Brother, can we give it a try? There is a solution,” she said and I looked at Jade.

“Of course, let’s give it a try,” I said and she jumped at this.

I sometimes forget how because her smile is at times.

Yesterday she was so broken, I hated seeing her like that.

I also hated that I was the reason she was going through that.

I hated how powerless I felt because of the situation.

There is nothing I could have done to help her with all of this.

There are rules and they must be followed no matter what.

“Okay, but first we need to abide by the rules. We need to send in a request to The Order,” I said.

The Order is an organization that handles all supernatural issues.

They make rules that we must follow so to keep our existence hidden.

For something as big as this, we need to put in a request.

“But just know that it will take months for it to be approved,” I reminded her.

“There is no need, I sent the request yesterday, Jade said and and then took out an envelope.

She then handed it to Tia who looked at her surprised.

“Wait, you got a response already?” I asked her and she nodded.

How did she get a response so fast?

I am an Alpha and for something like this, it would have taken at least a month.

For any supernatural being, sometimes it takes even more than that.

My Uncle is in the Order, not in a big position but he does have some kind of influence.

It still takes me over a month just to get a response but she got it in less than a day.

“Wait, how did you get it so fast?” Felix asked her.

“They have an emergency team. They are able to send responses in less than a day,” she

answered.

I looked at her, this is a big deal and yet she is acting like it is not.

as well.

There is more to Jade than what meets the eye.

I have always known that since I first met her, but now I am genuinely interested in what is happening here.
