Jade’s pov
“Did you have to embarrass me like that?” I asked Addison who smiled.

“No, I wasn’t trying to do that. You were just cute, all red like a tomato,” she answered and I rolled
my eyes.
Why did she have to suggest going on a honeymoon?
“Don’t try to hide it, you are looking forward to it, aren’t you?” Addison asked and I shook my head.
“Not really, I am kind of busy and I like my job,” I answered but she didn’t believe me.
“What happened this morning, why did your mother-in-law suggest this all of a sudden?” she asked
“Well, it’s mostly because she almost caught us this morning,” I answered and Addison gasped
before jumping with joy.
“Did you lose your virginity without telling me? I thought we were best friends, I told you everything. Oh, ye thus our friendship endeth,” she said and I rolled my eyes.
“Stop being dramatic. It almost happened but then she walked in,” I explained and she frowned.
“That b***h,” Addison said and I slapped her on the back and she just frowned.
“Come on, so you are ready?” she asked me and I nodded.
“I am,
and I am looking forward to this weekend. Does that make me a terrible person?” I asked her
and she sighed.
“Because of your sister?” she asked me and I nodded.
“Listen, your husband is one hot piece of ass,” she said and I looked at her waiting for something
else.
She didn’t say anything and I scoffed.
“Is that all you had to say?” I asked her and she nodded.
We were in my room packing my bag and I watched how she frowned as she looked at my bag.
“No, you want to be sexy and different. Get rid of this and this and everything,” she said.
“Then what am I going to wear?” I asked her and she winked.
“Gosh no, I am not going to spend the entire weekend naked,” I said and she rolled her eyes.

“You are no fun, and lucky for you I know that. So I prepared a care packet for you,” she said and
then ran off.
She came back a few minutes later with a bag.
The moment she opened it all I could see was lingerie as far as the eyes can see.
“I know you have sensitive skin, so I made sure to get you some silk and all that. Once you wear this, he will want to f**k your brains out,” she said with a wink.
“I don’t know if I should be impressed that you knew this day would come and be creep out,” I said
and she threw herself on my bed.
“What do you feel?” she asked me and I just shrugged.
“Excited, I want to try them on. All of them,” I said as I ran to the closet to get changed.
“I am coming out,” I said as I walked out and the room went silent.
“So, are you going to work dressed like that?” Dante asked me.
I was wearing this really short silk white dress and I know I looked hot in it.
“That’s hardly fair, is it? I should be the only person who sees you dressed like that,” he said as he
walked towards me.
I took a few steps back and smiled as I looked at him.
“So, Addison said that if I wear this then you will want to f**k my brains out,” I blurted out and he
chuckled.
“She wasn’t wrong, I really want to f**k your brains out right now,” he answered as he walked
towards me.
“I guess she will be happy to know that,” I answered and he pulled me closer to him.
“The weekend is too far,” he said and I smiled at this.
“It’s starting today,” I pointed out and he just shrugged at this.
He was about to kiss me but the door opened and Addison walked in.
“No, I am not done yet. What she is wearing is basically a night dress,” she said and Dante sighed. “You two will not ruin this night for me. I want it to be perfect,” she said and Dante chuckled at this.
“Well then, I will leave you to your work. If you can outdo this, then I will make sure you get a pretty good reward,” he said to Addison before walking away.

He looked at me one last time with a smile before closing the door.
“Gosh, girl that man is madly in love with you,” Addison said and I shook my head.
“He is a man, he saw a naked woman,” I retorted.
I am about to let this man be my first, hearing words like love is not good for my health.
“I didn’t mean to scare you,” Addison retorted and I didn’t answer.
“I need to get to work,” I said and ran to get changed and then went to work.
I did my rounds and as I was getting ready for lunch I found Sasha in my office.
“Why are you here?” I asked her and she smiled.
“I came to thank you,” she answered and I looked at her confused.
“For what?” I asked her and she sat down.
“For saving my family, what you did saved my family and I am thankful for it,” she explained.
I looked at her, I didn’t like how she emphasized the ‘my’ in all those sentences.

“I would have done it for anyone. Stephen and Vanessa are dangerous,” I said and she nodded.
“I was friends with her for years and I didn’t even see it. How could I not see it?” she asked.
“We see what we want to see,” I answered and she nodded.
Her green eyes landed on me and she smiled.
“Thank you so much. You didn’t only save everyone but also released a huge weight from my
mate’s shoulder,” she added.
She isn’t here to thank me, she is here to remind me that everything belongs to her.
She got up and then turned to look at me.
“I am sure that everyone will miss you when you leave. I am certain that I will miss you as well,” she
added.
“Leave?” I asked her and then frowned.
“We are only going away for a weekend. It’s hardly that long for me to be missed,” I explained and
she chuckled.
“I don’t mean now silly, I mean when you finally have a child. Dante and I would have gotten the child we needed and you will get your freedom. Don’t tell me you have changed your mind, you are still leaving aren’t you?” she asked me.

“I mean considering all the fuss you created back then. It would be embarrassing if you changed your mind,” she added.
“I didn’t change my mind, I am going to leave,” I said and then smiled.
I got up and looked my sister in the eyes.
“I want my freedom, nothing matters more to me than my freedom,” I said and she nodded.
“I am glad we are still on the same page,” she retorted and turned to leave.
“But sister,” I said and she turned around to look at me.
“If I find out that what Vanessa said is true. If you are really someone who is capable of doing what she did or worse. Then I won’t be going anywhere,” I informed her.
“Actually, I will stay here and keep an eye on you if must. You do remember, right? My husband has
made it clear that I can stay if I want to,” I added.
I watched how her eyes darkened but she smiled at this.
“And another thing, what I did wasn’t for you. It was for my husband’s family. After all, they will be my child’s family as well,” I informed her.
I watched how her false smile fell and she nodded.
“Well then, have a great time on your honeymoon,” she said and I smiled.
“Thank you, I intend to do so,” I responded and she stormed off.
My sister and I never got along but this is different.
She can’t even hide her disdain, she is openly telling me to leave.
I am a woman of my word so I will leave when all of this is over.
Everyone knows that I am going to leave once I have a child.
That was the deal, that was the agreement.
But why does it feel like my heart is breaking?
I have always known about this, I came up with the idea.
It was my condition, I did it for myself, for my freedom and happiness.
I
Then why am I saddened by the idea of leaving?
