Chapter 88: True Power
Jade’s pov
“Why are you looking at me like that?” I asked Dante who just shrugged.
He picked me up and then placed me on his desk.
“You are beautiful,” he said and I smiled at this.
“Do you really think so?” I asked him and he nodded.
“You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen,” he said and I just shrugged.

“So you are not disappointed that you didn’t marry the moon goddess?” I asked him with a chuckle.
“I didn’t marry the moon goddess. But I did marry a goddess,” he retorted and I found myself blushing at this.
“Well then, you just said all the right things. How about a trip to space with me?” I asked him and
he looked at me confused
I closed my eyes and started chanting a spell and I watched how his eyes lit up when he saw it.
“I will bring the sky to you,” I said and he looked at me and smiled.
He looked around and all you could see were stars.
This is a spell that I learned when I was young and needed an escape.
It felt like the world was suffocating me and I wanted a place with zero gravity.
I smiled at Dante’s eyes widened when he realized that we were now floating.
“It’s not space if there is gravity,” I said and watched how he smiled while floating around.
He seemed so carefree and full of joy.
I like seeing this side of this, he started doing flips midair and I found myself laughing at this.
This spell was only meant to be an escape for me.
I didn’t know back then when I created it that it would bring joy to the most important man of my
life.
He was acting like a child whose dream just came true.
After some time, I stopped the spell and the moment our legs landed on the ground I was engulfed
in a hug.

“Thank
you, that was probably the coolest thing I have ever seen,” he said.
I smiled because even his smile was contagious. Have you noticed something?
When a person is truly happy, you can feel it without having to look at them.
Their joy is contagious, you can feel yourself become happy as well.
He pulled me even closer and then gave me his breath-taking smile.
Damn, I mean those dimples make me melt every time.

“How about we go to sleep? I really want to take you out of this world too,” he said and I smiled at
this.
“It was cringy wasn’t it?” he asked me and I nodded.
He picked me up and headed to our bedroom where I went somewhere better than space.
“Come on, wake up,” a loud noise said outside our room.
“She is so annoying,” I heard Onyx say and I opened my eyes to look at him.
“We should get going, it’s almost 10 am,” I said to Onyx and Dante.
“Not yet,” Onyx said as he pulled me even closer.
I closed my eyes for a second and I felt myself drift off to sleep.
“If the two of you don’t wake up, then I will tear down this door,” Tia yelled on the other side.
I opened myself and looked around so I could see the time.
Does she have to wake us up so early?
My eyes landed on the watch and I quickly moved Dante’s body which was busy snuggling into
mine.
How is this possible?
It was about 10 am a few minutes ago.
It was before I drifted off to sleep.
“Tia, go away or I will kill you,” Dante said as he pulled me closer to him.
I pushed him away and he opened his eyes and looked at me confused.
“What?” he asked me and I showed him the watch and he just shrugged.
“It doesn’t matter. Let’s go back to sleep,” he said and tried pulling me closer to him again.

“No, we need to go and join everyone. Your father and siblings are leaving tomorrow, don’t you
want to spend some time with them before that,” I asked him.
He nodded and got up and we showered separately because together it would have taken longer.
Dante and Onyx weren’t really happy about it at all.
“Well, we all thought that maybe your bed swallowed you,” Addison was the first one to speak up.
“Yes, you all went so early to bed last night and yet woke up so late. It’s 2 pm and you are just
waking up,” Piers also said.
I looked down as everyone was laughing.
I glared at Dante who avoided my gaze and then walked to the kitchen.
“Come on, let’s feed you,” he said and I followed behind him.
We had our lunch or is it breakfast?
“So, I arranged for a few games for everyone. Let’s begin,” Tia said and then games started.
I found myself laughing and it was fun as everyone was playing.
“Well, he wasn’t lying when he made me that promise,” Elvis said and I looked at him confused.
“Your husband, he promised me that he would do his best to make you happy,” he explained.
I looked at Dante who sensed that I was looking at him and then winked my way.
“Huh, I am still having a hard time processing all of this. I mean the supernatural world,” he suddenly confessed.
“I get it, it must be hard for a human who never knew it existed,” I said and he nodded.
“You know there is one thing that didn’t surprise me at all,” he said and I looked at him intrigued.
“And what is that?” I asked him and he hugged me a bit.
“The fact that you are also a supernatural being. That is probably the most obvious thing in the
world,” he said.
I was about to say something when two massive growls were heard in the room.
We both turned to the source of the sounds to find two Alphas glaring at us.
Tia and her brother Dante were both glaring at us with their fangs out.
“Oh can it,” I said and Elvis smiled as he walked off.

Tia relaxed a bit and then looked at me as if apologizing.
I walked back and joined everyone as Tia got up with a massive smile.
“Let’s begin the talent show, is everyone ready?” she asked.
Everyone showed off their talents and when it was time for Dante he shook his head.
“I don’t have a talent,” he said and everyone just kept looking at him.
“You dance really good brother,” Nick reminded him.

“Yes, we all saw it when you were dancing to the rock music that night in the kitchen,” Alec said.
Everyone started laughing and I joined them as well.
“Oh really, you are laughing along with them? Let’s see your talent,” Dante said to me.
“I don’t have one,” I said and everyone looked at me with puppy dog eyes.
“I really don’t have any talent,” I said.
“She really doesn’t, Jade never really had any hobbies growing up. Unlike me, she can’t sing or dance or play any instruments,” Sasha said.
“She does have a talent, do what you showed me last night. That’s a talent of a kind,” Dante said.
“You showed him something last night? Are you sure it’s something other people should see?”
Addison asked me with a wink.
“Yes, and it’s pretty cool as well,” Dante said and I sighed as I looked around the room and everyone was looking at me.
“Fine then, I will do it,” I said and then closed my eyes.
I heard as everyone gasped when the spell started.
“This is so awesome,” Alec said as I opened my eyes and Dante had a massive proud smile on his
face.
He is proud because of this little spell, how will he feel once he learns my true power?
Will he be intimidated by it?
