Rejected by the Crown Prince? I Marned His Uncle
Chapter 49 Prince Theodore Has Passed Out
Finished
Every single herb in this room was worth at least a thousand gold crowns. This wasn’t just rich–this was insane.
If Christopher had come here back when he was crippled, he wouldn’t have had to run around looking for medicine.
Margaret meant it. The original Margaret had gone through so much trouble trying to find herbs to heal Christopher’s legs.
And most of those herbs were right here in this room.
She was a little curious, too.
Theodore was Christopher’s uncle. Why hadn’t he done anything? He must have known what Christopher needed.
Either he didn’t want to get involved.
Or he really didn’t know.
While Margaret was lost in thought, Theodore stood at the door, watching her quietly.
After a long pause, he said, “You still care about him?”
Margaret blinked. “What?”
She had been so deep in her own head that she hadn’t heard him.
Before Theodore could say anything else, Cyan appeared at the door.
“Prince Theodore,” he said. “The medicine is ready.”
Theodore left to take his herbal bath. Margaret finally snapped out of it.
Sure, the herbs here are amazing. But the ones in my storage space aren’t bad either. Time to go do the acupuncture.
She picked up the silver needles and headed in the direction Theodore had gone.
That direction led to Theodore’s bedchamber.
Cyan stood outside the door, his face blank. When he saw Margaret, he asked, “Ms. Campbell, why aren’t you in the pharmacy?”
“I’m here to help him detox,” Margaret said, helpless.
She started to walk in. Cyan blocked her. “Prince Theodore is bathing.”
“I know. That’s the point. The acupuncture works better while he’s soaking,” Margaret said, naturally.
Cyan’s lip twitched. “I’ve never heard of such a thing. Acupuncture during a bath? Are you sure you’re not just making this up?”

Margaret almost laughed. “Why would I make this up? I’m a healer. What do you think I’m going to do in there? You see these needles in my arms?”
Cyan glanced at the silver needles.
He didn’t move his arm. “Prince Theodore doesn’t allow anyone to attend him while he bathes.”
“I’m not going in there to ‘attend‘ him. I’m going in there to do acupuncture. The herbs I prescribed are very strong. He needs the acupuncture to get through it. Otherwise, if he stays in too long, he’ll pass out. Now move.” She tried to push his arm aside.
He didn’t budge. “Without Prince Theodore’s order, you cannot enter.”
This guy is like a piece of wood.
No flexibility at all.
Margaret sighed, “I’m serious. If he passes out-”
“If something happens,” Cyan said flatly, “Prince Theodore will call for us.”
His expression was impassive; clearly, he hadn’t taken her words to heart.
Margaret rubbed her temples. “So, there’s no one there to attend to him?”
Cyan repeated, “Prince Theodore doesn’t like anyone attending to him while he’s bathing.”
Margaret said, “Didn’t I tell you? This is a medicinal bath, and I’ve made the mixture particularly strong. It needs to be combined with my acupuncture, or he’ll pass out…
“Let me ask you something. What’s more important–the rules, or your prince’s life?”
Cyan looked at her. He didn’t answer.
“You called me here to cure him,” Margaret said. “Did you think I came to sneak a peek at him bathing? I’m a young woman. I have my dignity, you know.”
Cyan studied her for a moment. “There are many women who want Prince Theodore. What you’re saying isn’t impossible.”
Margaret rolled her eyes and pushed past him.
Cyan grabbed her shoulder. “Please, Ms. Campbell. Have some self–respect.”
Margaret threw her hands up. “Fine, fine. Then come in with me. Is that okay? You’ll be right there. What do you think I’m going to do to your prince? If anything happens, you can throw me out. Deal?”
