Completely willing?
It seemed like Elijah wasn't just trying to have sex with her to get revenge. He wanted to win her heart, too.
Was he overly confident, or was he simply too determined?
Soon, Elijah left, leaving Louisa alone in the large bedroom. Her bare skin was covered in goosebumps due to the cold air, so she pulled the blanket over herself.
Her phone was still ringing, so she turned it off.
"The number you have dialed is unavailable." Thaddeus listened to the cold, mechanical voice from the speaker and threw his phone away harshly.
Danica sat there, gracefully swirling a wine glass. She looked at Thaddeus as if she were a mere bystander. "I didn't know Louisa was this impressive. It's only been two days, but she already seduced Elijah."
"Shut up!" Thaddeus said, looking at her with bloodshot eyes.
Danica took a sip of her wine. "Thaddeus, even if I didn't say anything, you heard it for yourself. Elijah's already making Louisa his. You've completely lost her."
"No. She's mine. She's just trying to teach me a lesson," Thaddeus said, shaking his head vigorously. "If I go looking for her, she'll come back with me."
He drunkenly stumbled outside, but before he could reach the door, he crashed into the cabinet next to him. He slipped and collapsed onto the ground.
There were already bruises on his face, and now, he was in a useless heap on the floor. Danica had never seen Thaddeus like this. Even when his family was going through serious issues back then, he was still composed, like the rich heir he was.
Louisa alone was enough to send him over the edge. He clearly loved her a lot.
Danica felt the bile of jealousy rising up in her throat.
