Chapter 27
The smiles on the two girls‘ faces froze, and they seemed a little stunned.
But as if something occurred to them, the fear appeared only for a moment before vanishing.
They exchanged a glance, and then, with no coordination at all, greeted in two different directions.
“Rene, long time no see, sorry about earlier.”
Irene couldn’t help but let out a laugh.
“These two little sisters are just too adorable.”
The gloom in Stellan’s heart was also dispelled by their comical scene.
After chatting for a while, one of the girls kept rummaging through her bag and finally took out a consecrated thangka.
“I originally got this for myself, but I hope even more that you and Rene will be healthy and everything will go smoothly for you.”
Stellan’s heart trembled.
He suddenly understood the meaning of what Jack had said: “Though people leave, their souls are eternal.”
It turned out that everyone who had ever met Irene kept a fragment of her memory.
Meeting again meant remembering again.
And being touched by these memories brought him back to the past.

After Stellan was discharged from the hospital, they had another seafood boil together.
One of the girls couldn’t help but complain, “What a pity, the weather was so nice last time, but we didn’t get to see the golden sunlight on Mount Foraker.”
Stellan thought for a moment, then reminded them, saying, “If you didn’t see it, why not dance a little? The snowy peaks might be moved and reveal a glimpse of the golden mountain for you.”
He spoke seriously, and no one laughed at him.
Instead, the girl replied with a smile, joking, “If we dance and still don’t see it, we’ll come back to find you.”
Irene covered her mouth and laughed, casting a schadenfreude–filled smile at Stellan.
“Making such a serious promise, that’s so like you. You’re not afraid of failing at all.”
Stellan just smiled without saying anything.
But he thought of the two times Irene had danced at the foot of Mount Foraker before.
Next time, if Irene danced again, they would definitely see it!
