Seven Days to Goodbye (Irene and Stellan) novel Chapter 30

Chapter 30

When he returned to downtown Anchorage again, it had already been two years.

Raphael saw Stellan, whose skin had darkened several shades, and almost failed to recognize him.

He hesitated for a moment before asking, “How have you been lately?”

Stellan pulled the corners of his mouth slightly, as if somewhat nostalgic. “I have already found my destination. I will not leave again in the future.”

Raphael was taken aback.

Stellan did not explain much. He went to look at the two paintings, which had been well cared for by Raphael, their colors still vivid.

He gazed at Irene with wings, his expression full of longing, yet tinged with pain.

It was only after many years that he understood everything about Irene. No matter how hard one tried, some people could never be kept.

Raphael sighed softly. “These two paintings are loved by many people. I told them the stories behind them, and they all asked me to pass on a message to you.”

“Live well.”

Stellan’s breath faltered slightly. He smiled lifelessly, but did not take the paintings away.

“Here is the best home for them.”

Raphael did not refuse and promised to keep them forever, until the destined owner arrived.

Stellan resigned from his job in New York and disposed of all his assets.

After Valentina learned of this, she went to Alaska again and found him.

“Stellan, why are you settling your assets? Aren’t you coming back? Are you abandoning me?”

She took it for granted that after Irene left, Stellan would fall for someone else, and she still had a chance.

Stellan looked at her without joy or sorrow and directly played Sophie’s recording.

Even after hearing Sophie’s words, Valentina still showed no remorse.

“My mother doesn’t represent me, Stellan. You can’t be a coward in love!”

Seeing Valentina’s relentless attitude, Stellan suddenly laughed.
