Luna Isle, like Ruben Isle, was part of the Rosa Archipelago.
However, it was vastly smaller than Ruben Isle.
The inhabitants of Luna Isle were mostly natives, with a culture and language entirely distinct from Ruben Isle or Aldoria.
Preston had heard that the natives of Luna Isle worshipped specific deities.
Most notably, the God of Love.
Not Cupid, not Venus, but Amora.
On Luna Isle, the deity was depicted as a man and a woman dancing gracefully together.
If Preston remembered correctly, there was a massive Statue of Amora standing on the island's most famous attraction, Sterling Sands.
However, he had zero connections to Luna Isle. If Elias hadn't mentioned it, he wouldn't have even known about the Governor's upcoming tenth anniversary.
"I got the invitation through a friend of a friend. They said the anniversary party is going to have bonfires, fireworks, and it'll be incredibly lively and romantic. But the most important part is!"
Elias suddenly raised his voice.
"The Statue of Amora on Sterling Sands. Word is, there's a local legend. If a couple dances the traditional Lunarian Waltz all the way around the statue after sunset on someone else's tenth anniversary, their love will be blessed by the gods. They'll stay together forever and grow old hand in hand."
Hearing this, Preston immediately understood why Elias had brought it up.
"You want to give this opportunity to me?"
"It's not 'giving' it away. I don't even have a girlfriend! I might as well hand it over to you and the Oracle. Who knows, maybe it actually works!"
Gripping his phone, Preston fell silent.
A festival on Luna Isle... Dancing around the Statue of Amora to guarantee a lifetime together...
It sounded like nothing more than local folklore.
And yet...
Preston wanted to try it.
The only problem was...
Would Melanie want to?
The next evening, just before sunset, the plane touched down beneath a sky painted with twilight hues.
Melanie and Preston arrived on Luna Isle together.
Melanie took a paper bag from his hands.
"What's in it?"
As she asked, she was already pulling the item out.
Seeing her jaw drop, Preston quickly explained.
"It's a local custom on Luna Isle. The Governor's tenth-anniversary celebration is a bikini party."
Melanie looked thoroughly exasperated.
Glancing at the crowds strolling along the beach, nearly everyone was in swimwear, and the vast majority were in bikinis.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do. She didn't actually mind attending a bikini party.
Still, receiving a bikini directly from Preston felt a little strange.
"I picked a more conservative style."
There was something inherently comical about Preston's deadpan delivery, and Melanie couldn't help but laugh.
