Melanie was utterly confused.
Who had put so many baby products in her office?
"Jonas, whose stuff is this? Why is it all piled up in my office?"
Melanie casually asked Jonas as he walked by, but he stammered, his eyes darting away from hers.
Her intuition told her that Jonas thought these baby supplies were for her.
Before Melanie could figure out how to deal with all the baby products, rumors about her were already spreading like wildfire.

For the past few days, Dominic had been going to the Hale Group almost daily for the project.
Today, just as he finished a meeting, Evelyn cornered him in the conference room.
Evelyn looked furious.
However, Dominic couldn't understand what she was so angry about.
"And to think I trusted you so much! I thought you truly loved me, loved Lila, and loved our family... I never thought... you've been lying to me all this time!"
Dominic was stunned by Evelyn's tearful accusation.
"What are you talking about, Evelyn? What did I lie to you about?"
"You lied when you said you never touched Melanie!"
Evelyn's voice was sharp and severe.
Dominic scratched his head.
"But I really haven't touched Melanie!"
In four years of marriage, he hadn't so much as laid a finger on Melanie.
Because the person he loved was Evelyn.
He would never allow himself to be unfaithful to his love.
So, he had let Melanie live a celibate life for four years.
Evelyn knew all of this.
"You're still denying it! If you never touched Melanie, then whose child is she carrying?"
Evelyn's words hit him like a ton of bricks.
Dominic was dumbfounded.
"What did you say?"
Seeing Dominic's clueless expression, Evelyn looked puzzled.
She had been careless.
At the very least, when she saw her office piled high with baby supplies, she never imagined the rumors would escalate to this extent.
The living room was filled with her accusers—Dominic and Evelyn holding Lila, Gregory and Camilla sitting together, and Nathaniel and Sabrina in the main seats. Everyone looked at her with disappointment and disgust.
"Auntie Melanie is such a bad person... Poor Uncle Dominic."
Lila's clear voice was the first to break the oppressive silence in the living room.
"Speak! Who is that other man?!"
Nathaniel roared.
He was about to explode with anger.
Melanie used to frequent the nightclub Daphne owned, and while he had always chided her for it, he had mostly turned a blind eye and never truly disciplined her.
But he never, ever imagined that Melanie would go out and get pregnant with a bastard child.
How could he show his face in public now?!
How could he face his old army buddy and his own son?!
Stared at by pairs of eyes, some accusatory, some relishing the drama, Melanie couldn't help but let out a cold laugh.
