She Left She Thrived She’s Worth Billions novel Chapter 310

Evelyn deliberately used the word “home.”

“Home…”

Dominic noticed, savoring the word in his mind.

Home…

Did he even have a home anymore?

His own wife wasn't even in his house.

Dominic let out a heavy sigh.

Seeing Dominic looking so troubled, Evelyn sat down beside him and gently stroked his back.

“Don’t worry, our company is about to go public! Once it does, you’ll have financial freedom, and we can be together openly… Then, the two of us, plus Lila… our family of three, we'll live happily ever after…”

As she spoke, Evelyn couldn’t help but picture the scene of the Hale Health Center going public, with Dominic publicly throwing divorce papers at Melanie.

The thought was exhilarating!

While Evelyn was rubbing her hands in glee, lost in her thoughts, Dominic was miles away, not hearing a word she said.

In the end, sleeping with Evelyn hadn’t filled the emptiness and void inside him.

It had to be Melanie.

Before, when Dominic didn't want to sleep with Melanie, he hadn’t felt this way. But now that the thought had taken root, it became a persistent itch he couldn't scratch.

The more he wanted her and couldn't have her, the more tormented he became.

He turned his head distractedly and was startled to see Evelyn’s face.

“Why are you still here?”

Evelyn froze.

“I was waiting for you to come home with me?”

“I’m not going back,” Dominic refused flatly.

“What? You’re not going home? Then where are you going?”

“I’m going… I’m going to the office to work overtime.”

While Dominic was using Evelyn as a substitute to vent his frustrations, Melanie had actually been with Elina and Bryant, enjoying the musical fountain.

Since it was the Valentine's Day, the square was packed with people.

Melanie had originally agreed to meet because Elina had something important to tell her.

Although the location Bryant sent via text was the Crestfall District musical fountain, Melanie had assumed he meant a shop in the square.

But when she arrived, she found Bryant and Elina waiting for her in the middle of the plaza.

“Melanie!”

As soon as Elina saw Melanie, she seemed happier than if she'd seen her own mother, jumping up and reaching out her arms toward her.

Melanie effortlessly lifted Elina into her arms.

She and Elina had a special connection. She had initially taken an interest in Elina after seeing Lila bully her, which sparked a desire to help.

“Melanie, Daddy said it’s a holiday today. Can you play with me by the fountain for a little while, please?”

Elina blinked her large, sparkling, watery eyes at Melanie, her gaze filled with an expectation that made it impossible for Melanie to refuse.
