She Left She Thrived She’s Worth Billions novel Chapter 662

Dominic's gaze fell on the photograph once more.

The youthful version of Melanie staring back at him looked like she was barely in middle school.

Dominic ran a hand through his hair.

"Could it be... that Melanie came all the way out here... just to run into me?"

The sheer possibility sent his heart hammering wildly against his ribs.

He didn't care if the current Melanie still harbored any feelings for him; this felt like his last desperate lifeline.

"Mr. Fairchild, I'm begging you. If you remember anything at all about what they did while they were here, please tell me."

Dominic pleaded, desperation clear in his voice as he looked at the older man.

Mr. Fairchild scoffed.

He was reluctant to say too much, wary that Dominic might be some sort of obsessive stalker.

After all, the photo featured two young girls.

However, he also realized the picture was ancient history.

Those girls were full-grown women now, and Dominic was only asking about the past.

After a long moment of deliberation, Mr. Fairchild finally relented.

"It's been years. With the sheer volume of people passing through here, how could I possibly remember everyone?"

The brief high Dominic had been riding crashed back down to earth. He realized Mr. Fairchild was right.

Moreover, even if a young Melanie had traveled all this way just to chase after him, it only proved how deeply she had loved him in the past.

But the Melanie of today was a completely different person.

Dominic let out a suffocating breath, his shoulders sagging as he turned to leave in utter defeat.

"Wait, there is one thing I remember."

Suddenly, Mr. Fairchild's voice rang out from behind, and Dominic froze in his tracks.

"It was that girl in your photo," Mr. Fairchild continued. "She was incredibly gifted. Even at such a young age, she had a brilliant grasp of advanced bio-pharmacology. She actually saved a guest's life while she was here!"
