Gregory shot Camilla a look so obvious that Nathaniel couldn't ignore it.
"Did Melanie do something out of line again? Gregory, you and I go way back. Melanie is my daughter. If she's made a mistake, you can't keep it from me."
With Nathaniel’s prompting, Gregory naturally continued.
"It’s not exactly a mistake… It’s just… there might be a little misunderstanding…"
With that, Gregory took out his phone and pulled up a picture.
He then handed his phone to Nathaniel.
Upon seeing the picture, Nathaniel’s expression changed slightly. He looked up at Gregory.
"This is…"
"It was taken by a very famous photographer. He must have seen them while he was dining, thought the scene was beautiful, and snapped a candid photo. Then he uploaded it to his social media account. I just happened to come across it while scrolling."
Gregory's explanation was still beating around the bush, so Nathaniel didn't press, patiently waiting for him to continue.
"The point is… this picture was taken at Le Marcelline."
As soon as Gregory finished, Nathaniel whipped his head around to question Melanie. "Explain yourself. What were you doing at Le Marcelline with a man?"
Without even lifting her head, Melanie replied nonchalantly, "Eating, of course."
Nathaniel slammed his hand on the table.
At that moment, Sabrina leaned in curiously. "Le Marcelline… isn't that the trendy spot for the super-rich? I heard the minimum charge there is absurdly expensive. Doesn't a single meal cost tens of millions?"
Melanie let out a silent, cold laugh.
Ever since her father had elevated her to this status, Sabrina had been surrounded by wealthy socialites. Was she really pretending not to know the prices at Le Marcelline?
What was the point of playing dumb?
"That's right! She spent twenty million dollars to treat some boy toy!" Evelyn announced, providing the exact figure.
Seeing Nathaniel's gaze shift to her, she quickly added, "I'm not lying. We saw it with our own eyes that day, didn't we, Dominic?"
Dominic remained silent.
