She Quit Her Family and Found Herself novel Chapter 158

With perfect logic and unshakeable poise, Hulda effortlessly deflected the reporter's malicious and highly targeted attack.

The reporter sank back into his seat, his face ashen, shifting uncomfortably as it was clear his attempted takedown had backfired completely.

Hulda merely gave him one last detached glance before gathering her thoughts, ready to move on.

"Alright, next question," she announced clearly into the microphone.

Dozens of attendees immediately raised their hands. Just as the host waited for Hulda to select someone so he could pass the microphone...

Sylvie abruptly stood up from her seat. "I have a question!"

The host was taken aback and quickly cautioned her. "Miss, if you have a question, please raise your hand. You cannot just stand up and interrupt like this."

Sylvie bit her lip, a flicker of embarrassment crossing her face. But under the watchful eyes of the entire room, she stubbornly doubled down. "Well, since I'm already standing, you should let me ask the next question."

The host looked up at Hulda, waiting for her instruction.

Hulda slowly raised her eyes, meeting Sylvie's defiant glare, and gave a faint nod. "That's fine. As long as it is related to today's topic, I will answer it."

With Hulda's permission, the host reluctantly handed the microphone over to Sylvie.

He couldn't help but curse internally at the bizarre amount of drama at today's conference. Fortunately, Director Atherton remained completely unfazed.

Herbert had no idea Sylvie was going to pull a stunt like this.

He looked up in shock, his brows furrowing. "Sylvie, what are you doing?"

Hearing the obvious reproach in his voice, Sylvie whispered back defensively, "I just want to ask her a simple question."

With that, she gripped the microphone and glared pointedly at Hulda.

It was an incredibly difficult and complex question. Unless Hulda had legitimately overcome the bottleneck with pure skill, fancy buzzwords wouldn't be enough to fool a room full of elite scientists and CEOs.

She couldn't wait to see if Hulda could even comprehend the question, let alone answer it!

Hearing the challenge, the entire room shifted their attention back to Hulda.

Everyone knew just how brutal this question was.

It was a direct attack on Hulda's competence because an issue like this couldn't be answered by reading from a script. It required absolute, irrefutable genius.

Herbert also found himself holding his breath, desperate to know if she could actually answer it, and how she would do it.

The massive conference hall fell into a pin-drop silence.
