Seeing that Hulda still hadn't returned, she let out a genuine sigh of relief.
"I see," the woman smiled, quickly adding in fear of causing trouble for her daughter, "My daughter only told me she saw Herbert, nothing more."
"That's good then," Sylvie smiled. "The Conrad Atherton Institute is indeed impressive, but our H&J isn't lacking either. When we eventually finalize our collaboration, it will be a perfect win-win situation."
Since Hulda wasn't present, Sylvie took every opportunity to elevate H&J, which inherently elevated her own status.
Valery looked at Sylvie with deep satisfaction, feeling she had handled the conversation perfectly. The admiration and approval in Valery's eyes grew even stronger.
Mrs. Gower held up her phone screen and announced, "I just looked it up. This Conrad Atherton Institute is genuinely incredible—it's a top-tier research facility in our country. Look, it says right here..."
Pointing at the screen, Mrs. Gower continued, "They're the core force breaking foreign monopolies in navigation and positioning technology, achieving total independence. The institute's Quantum Crystal Oscillator Gyroscope is being hailed as the greatest invention of recent years."
As Valery's ultimate sycophant, Mrs. Gower spared no effort in her flattery.
After reading off the institute's industry status and achievements, she lowered her phone with a smug expression. "So, being able to collaborate with an institute of this caliber just proves how capable Herbert really is. And of course..."
Mrs. Gower turned an eager gaze toward Sylvie. "Our dear Sylvie is incredibly impressive too. She's Herbert's right-hand woman. Leading a lab independently at such a young age and participating in such a massive project... ordinary people could never accomplish that."
