After speaking, he stared intensely into her eyes.
Hilda didn't say a word.
She just turned her face away, her chest heaving continuously. She was no match for his strength at all. Her hands were curled into fists, pressed down forcefully. With every struggle, she sank deeper into the mattress. Separated from the man by only a thin towel, there was essentially no barrier.
The difference in strength between a man and a woman was clear-cut.
Let alone an enraged Luther.
Transparent tears fell.
They slid from the corners of her reddened eyes, rolling onto the bedsheets before being absorbed.
Luther freed one hand to wipe the tears from the corner of the woman's eyes. His voice was very soft and gentle, but laced with a dangerous sexual tension. "Why are you crying? Weren't you willing? Didn't you voluntarily sacrifice yourself to come back? Crying like this, Harrell would be heartbroken if he knew."
He spoke so gently.
But he felt utterly miserable inside.
He suddenly captured her red lips, violently holding her wrists down as she struggled.
A deadly, lingering entanglement.
Forcing her to do all sorts of shameful things.
It wasn't until dark that the man finally let her go.
Hilda's face was buried in the pillow.
Her body still trembled from the aftershocks.
The man hugged her from behind. He genuinely wanted to live a good life with her and didn't want to fight about Harrell all the time. Besides, he was the one who made the mistake back then, giving Harrell an opportunity.
After satisfying his brutal urges, his temper improved.
He buried his face in her sweat-dampened black hair, his voice trembling slightly. "Stop being mad, okay? It was my fault. Harrell and I are cousins anyway; it's normal that you mistook me for a moment. I'll be careful from now on, I won't wear the same brands as Harrell... hm?"
Luther rarely coaxed people.
Though his words were soft, his desire for a child was real. They only had Annie to their name, and wealthy men generally wanted several children. Plus, there was another matter he wanted to discuss with her. "Harrison and Catherine are getting older! I've thought about it, and I think it's better if we bring Landon here to raise him. When he's an adult, he can go back to Havenworth City and take over Judson Corporation. What do you think? A child should be with their biological parents."
He was jealous of Harrell.
He didn't want Landon to stay with the Judson family anymore.
Though he phrased it as a discussion, the man actually held the absolute final say.
Judson Corporation had survived the crisis.
