Luther's face instantly turned ugly.

Even if he were slow, he would have realized it.

Hilda had made a mistake just now.

She had mistaken him for Harrell.

There were two maids working in the first-floor living room, and Sebastian hadn't gone far. Luther didn't lash out. He simply picked up the woman's luggage and headed toward the second floor.

It wasn't until he went upstairs that Hilda snapped out of it.

He was Luther, not Harrell.

Hilda followed him upstairs.

Luther was sitting in the living area. The suitcase had likely been taken to the walk-in closet. The woman tried to go organize her things—actually trying to avoid him—but she hadn't even taken a step before the man grabbed her slender wrist. With a sharp pull, he yanked her onto his lap, forcing her into a highly humiliating position against his chest.

Hilda tried to escape.

The man wouldn't let her.

He grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him, and asked softly, "Where's Annie? Left her in Havenworth City?"

Hilda said very softly, "I dropped her off at your parents' place."

Nathan and his wife were quite emotional about their reconciliation.

But what could they say?

They had no say in the matter.

Luther stared at her face and whispered, "What are you trying to do, Hilda? You don't want Annie to live with us? You want to face me alone? Or are you still thinking about Harrell? Do you think of yourself as a woman for sale? Or do you think that now the crisis at Judson Corporation is resolved, you can act tough? Am I that easy to brush off? Am I just a stepping stone to you? If I was easygoing, would you take Annie and leave me again? Go back and keep watch over Harrell? Don't forget, you slept with me again. You sleep in my bed every night. What face do you have to return to the Judson family in Havenworth City? Could you even go back?"

His words were incredibly nasty.

As he spoke, he tore at her clothes.

Treating her as if she were a cheap escort.

The bedroom door was still wide open.

If they had sex right there, the people downstairs would definitely hear.

Hilda didn't dare imagine the consequences of the staff hearing them.

How would she face anyone ever again?

Luther hooked his finger under her delicate chin, his expression cold and detached. "We're a young married couple, indulging ourselves occasionally is no big deal! Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?"

Hilda refused.

The man kissed her with an almost manic intensity.

Half dominant, half brutal.

Hilda wrapped her arms tightly around the man's neck.

Tears spilled from the corners of her eyes.

She didn't dare make a single sound.

—She was already humiliated enough.

About half an hour later, Luther finally satisfied his masculine desires. He shoved the woman away and went to the bathroom alone to shower. He needed to calm down; otherwise, he didn't know what he might do to her.
