Chapter 90

“Mr. Somerton, this is the divorce agreement that Ms. Roberts signed,” Seth said as he handed the documents to Tristan.

Five years ago, Jonathan had contacted Tristan to discuss the divorce. Though it was true that Tristan was the one who had initially proposed the divorce, when Stella began urgently pushing for it, it deeply bothered him.

“If she wants a divorce, she can come talk to me in person,” he had said back then.

Thus, the previous divorce agreement was null and void.

In the blink of an eye, five years had passed, and the two of them were still legally husband and wife.

Tristan stared at the divorce papers in front of him, his eyes frosting over. “Where is she?”

Seth replied, “Ms. Roberts asked me to handle everything on her behalf. If you refuse to sign, Mr. Somerton, then we’ll have to go through litigation.”

The moment the words left Seth’s mouth, Tristan’s expression grew even colder. Sneering, he said, “Then I’d like to see just how capable she thinks she is.”

After Seth left the office, Faith came back inside, looking for her dad. When his eyes landed on her, he quickly masked his emotions, but she could still sense that he was angry.

“Daddy, have some candy.” Faith raised her small hand and offered a piece of candy to her father. Tristan bent down and put the candy into his mouth. “Don’t be angry, Daddy. I’ll keep

you company.

Tristan scooped her up and settled her comfortably in his lap. “Daddy’s not angry.”

Just then, his phone vibrated. The caller ID read “Audrey!”

As soon as Seth stepped out of the building, he called Stella.

“Okay, I got it,” Stella said before hanging up with a sigh.

Tristan still hadn’t agreed to the divorce, likely feeling that the control he thought was his had somehow ended up in her hands. And that was something a person like him would never tolerate.

However, what surprised her was that he was willing to put off marrying Audrey because of

that.

Just then, her phone vibrated again, interrupting her thoughts. It was a call from Annabeth

“Hey, Annabeth.”

“Stella, where are you?”

“On my way. Traffic’s a bit heavy. I’ll probably need another ten minutes.”

“Alright, no rush. Drive safely. We’ll wait for you.”
