Wesley glanced at Xavier, who had remained entirely silent, watching the scene unfold with icy detachment.
Knowing Xavier wasn't going to step in, Wesley finally spoke up. "Let's head inside."
Julian Hawthorne chimed in, urging the group forward. "Yeah, let's go. It's freezing out here. Lily, if she wants to stand out here in the wind and make a fool of herself, let her. Don't waste your breath on her."
Summer scoffed loudly. "Exactly. Please hurry up and leave. Stop polluting the air around here, it's making me nauseous. And do me a favor—next time you leave the house, bring your brain with you. Stop throwing yourself in my path, and stop trying to 'help' me. Stay as far away from me as humanly possible, and I'll thank God and your entire extended family."
Julian couldn't stand Summer's sarcastic attitude. He had a massive ego, and he absolutely refused to swallow being openly disgusted by anyone.
And this wasn't the first time Summer had crossed him.
Did she think he was just going to roll over and take it?
He immediately raised his hand, snapping his fingers to summon the club's security team.
A staff member jogged over respectfully. "Mr. Hawthorne, how can we help you?"
Julian pointed a contemptuous finger at Summer. "Get this trash out of my sight. Throw her out."
Wesley frowned, stepping forward disapprovingly. "Julian."
Julian flashed a nasty grin. "Save your gentlemanly routine, Wesley. This woman doesn't need it! And she doesn't deserve it!"
His expression immediately darkened into something vicious. "I want her gone. Right now."
Two heavily built security guards quickly marched over, stopping right in front of Summer. "Miss, it's time for you to leave."
They used polite words, but their faces and body language were anything but. They looked at her with pure hostility and disdain.
One of them shoved her, making her stumble backward.
Summer's eyes flashed with cold fury. "Is this how you treat paying customers?"
"Customers?" Julian laughed mockingly. "You? Where's your invitation, then? Let me guess, you were hoping to blend into the crowd and hook a sugar daddy. Everyone knows this place is packed with rich guys today."
Julian's grin grew even more arrogant. "What are you idiots waiting for? Do I have to personally teach you how to throw someone out?"
The guards stepped into her space again. "Miss, let's go."
Summer took a step back. "Your boss, Wyatt Hudson, is already on his way out to get me."
The guards continued to advance, sneering. "Look, lady, plenty of women claim they're here to see our boss. You're not the first, and you won't be the last."
Summer frowned. "I can call him right now..."
Before she could finish her sentence, the two guards lunged forward, moving to physically grab her and haul her out.
"Don't touch me!" Summer snapped, twisting her body to avoid them, but one of the guards clamped a heavy hand around her left arm.
The sheer difference in physical strength was undeniable. The guard's grip was like an iron vise, aggressively dragging Summer toward the exit.
