"Summer, are you asking for a beating?" Julian's face turned red with anger, his fists cracking as he clenched them.
"Quiet down," Wesley interjected, interrupting the two.
Xavier's surgery was very successful without any issues. He had woken up for a bit and then fallen back asleep.
Summer kept looking at Wesley.
Wesley knew what she meant.
But Julian didn't know, and he misunderstood.
Julian was furious, gritting his teeth. "Summer, do you have no shame? Flirting with Wesley right in front of Xavier!"
Summer scoffed, "You really are a hypocrite. Why don't you say Xavier and Lily are shameless? They aren't even divorced yet, and they're hugging and cuddling right in front of me."
"Don't twist the concept. Xavier and Lily are true love."
"Ha," Summer sneered. "Cheating is cheating, an affair is an affair. Don't you dare insult the phrase 'true love'."
Julian flushed with anger. "You..."
"You, you, you, my ass! Back then, Xavier practically begged to date me. He was the one who got down on one knee to propose and begged me to marry him. Don't make it sound like I forced him into it! Lying to me is one thing, but being unfaithful to our marriage? A filthy man like that can go straight to hell!"
"Summer, say that again if you have the guts."
Summer casually stepped behind Wesley. "You think I'll do it just because you tell me to? Who do you think you are? I'm not going to say it. Die mad about it, you morally bankrupt lapdog!"
Wesley was speechless. Summer's tongue was incredibly sharp, but the point was, she was cursing him out, so why was she hiding behind him?
Julian looked at Wesley. "Wesley, step aside. I'm definitely going to teach her a lesson today."
Wesley didn't move. "This is a hospital, a patient's room."
Julian frowned. "You're going to help her?"
Wesley said mildly, "She didn't say anything wrong."
Julian stared at Wesley in disbelief. "Wesley, Xavier treats you as his best friend."
Julian said angrily, "Summer, who do you think you are? Since when is it your turn to call the shots here?"
"I have a marriage certificate, I'm Xavier's legally wedded wife." Summer looked at Julian with a half-smile. "On the contrary, you,"
Summer's gaze swept over Miles and Lily. "And you two, who do you think you are?"
Wesley looked at Summer in surprise, not expecting her to be so bold.
Summer's family had no background, yet she dared to offend the Hawthorne family, the Sutton family, and the Sterling family all at once.
Xavier was just asleep, not dead. He would wake up sooner or later.
Lily was the woman Xavier loved. As soon as Xavier woke up and Lily told him about today's events, Xavier would definitely stand up for Lily.
Was Summer not afraid?
"Are you still not leaving? If you don't go now, my mother-in-law will be here soon," Summer waved her phone, smiling brightly. "I just sent her a message."
