After taking the PEP medication for fifteen consecutive days, Silas's side effects had lessened. His energy levels were visibly improving.
Seeing Tessa walk in, Summer asked curiously, "What brings you here? Have you eaten?"
Tessa leaned against the doorframe. "Just came to give you a heads-up. I was down at the nurses' station signing some charts, and I saw Xavier snooping around, asking about Mr. Sinclair's condition."
The Sinclair Manor had immediately locked down all information regarding Silas's health to prevent any panic in the stock market.
Silas raised an eyebrow. "How does he know I'm in the hospital?"
"I ran into him downstairs earlier," Summer said. "He was here to see Lilith. He's probably getting suspicious."
Tessa scoffed. "That jerk is surprisingly devoted, isn't he?"
With that, Tessa stood up straight. "I'll leave you two to it. I'm gonna go eat."
Summer nodded, urging her on. "Go ahead, I left your portion on your desk."
Every time Summer came to deliver food, she always checked if Tessa was on shift. If she was, Summer made sure to bring an extra portion just for her.
"Love you, babe," Tessa blew a kiss at Summer before leaving.
Silas watched Tessa with pure envy. When would he be able to openly blow kisses at Summer and call her babe?
Just thinking about it made his chest run hot.
When Summer left the hospital, she found Xavier standing by her car, clearly waiting to ambush her.
She paused, an involuntary frown pulling at her lips.
Seeing her frown made Xavier's heart ache uncontrollably.
Summer walked over, her expression completely blank. "Xavier, what exactly do you want?"
"I wanted to return this to you." Xavier held out the photo album he had been clutching against his chest.
