Substitute Wife, Genius CEO novel Chapter 532

Xander sighed helplessly. "Summer will be there too. Considering her relationship with Xavier, it's better if I go."

Hearing that Summer was going to be there, Xavier's mind instantly flashed back to the conversation they hadn't finished that afternoon. He practically sprinted up the stairs. "Xander, don't worry, I won't cause her any trouble. I'm going to change right now. Go back to your room and rest, don't make Mom and Grandpa worry about you."

Zelda held onto Xander tightly and forcibly escorted him back to his room.

Back in his own room, Xavier threw open his closet doors. Staring at the rows of designer clothes, his heart hammered against his ribs—he was nervous, expectant, terrified, and incredibly eager all at once.

He suddenly had no idea what to wear.

Which suit made him look the best?

To be fair, all his suits and dress shirts looked mostly the same, only differing slightly in color, subtle patterns, and fabric.

But Xavier still spent half an hour painstakingly agonizing over his choices before finally settling on an outfit he was satisfied with.

Then, he hopped into the shower, gave himself a clean shave, changed into the fresh suit, meticulously tied his tie, secured his cufflinks, and styled his hair. Only then did he head downstairs, looking flawless.

If you didn't know better, you'd think he was heading to his own wedding.

As he walked down the stairs, he ran into Zelda.

Zelda took one look at him and scoffed, "What, not going out looking like a stray dog today?"

Xavier stopped and turned to face her. "Mom, how does this look?"

Zelda raised a surprised eyebrow. "Are you going on a blind date or something? You're trying awfully hard."

"If this was a blind date, would I get a perfect score?"

Zelda laughed. "Please, just look at whose genes you inherited. Of course you'd get a perfect score."

Xavier left in high spirits. On his way there, he even stopped to buy a gift for Leo.

He had even specifically called Xander for advice on what to get.

Standing in the middle of a high-end toy store staring at the endless rows of items, he realized he had no idea what to buy. He didn't know what Leo actually liked.

It hit him with a crushing wave of depression that he knew absolutely nothing about Leo.
