Chapter 250
Lilian’s POV
Seeing Odette sparked my outrage, and at once, I hurried through the door.
“Madison! Alex! Come here at once,” I said, my fear at seeing Odette so friendly and relaxed with my kids sending- a spike of cold fear and panic through my chest.
Everyone in the room looked at me. I didn’t care about the others, only my children.
The tutor Kyle started to stand and came over toward me. “Miss Lillian, is something troubling me?”
“You are supposed to be teaching my children,” I insisted. “Not allowing others into this room to distract you.’
Confusion filled his face. “It’s only Odette. She is well-known and liked in the court, and the children seem to like her.”
A fresh wave of panic flooded through me. Before I could ask just how well Odette knew the kids, she came waltzing over to me herself.
“I would have thought this would please you,” Odette said. When she was close enough, she daintily touched Kyle’s arm, while her eyes stayed on me. “With my focus now elsewhere, Grayson is more available for you.”

“Madison. Alex. We’re leaving.”
The kids’ eyes were wide but they hurried to my side, recognizing the no-nonsense tone of my voice.
“What about lessons today?” Alex asked.
“Postponed,” I said definitely. To Kyle, I said, “We will talk about this later. Without the children or your company.”
“You really are overreacting,” Odette said sweetly. “I don’t mean any harm.”
I didn’t believe that for a second.
Kyle lowered his head. “I apologize for any misunderstanding. Of course, we may continue this conversation at a later time. I will adjust the lesson plans to accommodate for an early day today.”
“Thank you,” I told him sharply, annoyed because this delay was only due to his lack of professionalism in allowing Odette to be present in this room.
I took one of each of the kids’ hands and we walked out of the room. They nervously looked up at me as we returned to our own rooms. They also exchanged looks with each other.
I wasn’t ready to talk yet, didn’t trust my voice not to be raised. My anger was not the fault of the kids and they shouldn’t have to suffer for it. I needed to calm down.
But the walk back to our rooms was not long enough for me to properly calm, and when we arrived I was still
