Kafe was caught off guard for a second, and then a flicker of dishebet and excitement flashed deep in his bluu yrs.
But outwardly, he stayed calm and collected, even adding just the right hint of weakness. He nodded gently. “Thanks for taking care of me, Dory”
Dors ignored the subtle looks from the other three and went on. “This Pinnacle Level 6 Shadow Demon Beast Core is for you, Clive it fits your supernatural ability, so tonight, focus on leveling up and see if you can break through
“Food and water are all set for you You get your own tent tonight, just concentrate on leveling up”
Clive Cooked at the swirling, dark crystal core, then shot Dora a meaningful look before taking it. He replied in a low voice,
“Got it”
“These two Level 5 crystal cores are for you, Elmer and Lioren. One each,
“With the Level 4 crystal cores we picked up today as backup, try to push for another rank tonigje.
“Food and water are ready for you guys, too?
Elmer took the crystal core, but his puppy eyes lingered on Dora, full of longing, “So… what about you, Dora?”
“I’m in charge of keeping a close watch on Rafe’s injuries and going through all the loot we scored today.” Dora said, her tone making it clear there was no room for debate.
“That’s settled. Go get some rest, all of you, she ordered,
Dora made the decision and led the way toward the egg-shaped rest pod.
Rafe followed behind her, deliberately moving slower, as if his injuries were holding him back.
As they stepped inside, the alloy door silently closed behind them, shutting out all the noise and distractions from the outside world.
The lights automatically adjusted to a soft, warm yellow, and the climate control kept the air pleasantly warm, with a subtle fresh scent lingering.
The space wasn’t too big, but it was smartly laid out.
Γ
One side held a built-in bed, while the other had a fold-out table and chairs, along with a basic storage locker
Dora walked straight to the bigger bed, pulled out her usual cozy bedding from her Spatial Realm, and started making it up.
Rafe stood in the middle of the pod, watching Dora bustle around. That surreal mix of joy and anticipation kept bubbling. up inside him.
He’d always thought he’d need to earn at least 100 points and jump through a bunch more hoops before he’d ever get this kind of privilege.
‘Could it be… Dory actually likes me, not just because of the test? Kate wondered to himself.

Vour sleeping mat-is-over here/ Dora said.
Her voice snapped Rafe out of his daydream
She efficiently pulled out a spare inflatable mattress and a warm blanket from the storage locker.
She laid them out neatly on the floor across from the bed, making sure everything was perfectly arranged and at just the right distance.
Rafe was speechless. ‘Guess I was just overthinking it, he thought to himself.
But he wasn’t about to let such a golden opportunity slip by.
“Rafe, you get some rest first. I’m going to wash up, then you can go after me,” Dora said.
With that, she headed to the washroom and closed the door behind her.
When Dora finished washing up and pushed the door open, she saw Rafe resting on the sleeping mat she’d set up for him. He’d already taken off his combat suit, and his torso was wrapped in bandages.
The firelight streamed through the small window of the rest pod, casting a warm glow over him and outlining muscles that were solid but not overly bulky.

“Those looks, that build… Dora thought, her eyes lingering on him.
She swallowed unconsciously, her throat suddenly dry.
‘Guess that’s all there is to a pretty boy, huh?” she mused to herself.
Dora tried to act composed as she stepped forward to check on him. “Does your wound hurt?”
Rafe looked up, his blue eyes glazed with fever, and at the corner of his eye was a small teardrop-shaped beauty mark.
“Feels like I’ve got a fever,” he said, his voice rough, his words trailing off in a raspy, breathless whisper.
“What’s wrong?” Dora asked, sitting down at the edge of the sleeping mat.
Rafe drew in a shallow breath, his brows knitting together. “I think the wound’s healing… I got a little carried away taking off my clothes, and the bandage slipped loose.”
He shifted casually, and the bandage slid down, revealing a glimpse of his toned chest and those defined abs.
Dora swallowed, forcing herself to look away. “Let me help you rewrap that bandage.”
She took out the medical kit and knelt down next to him on the sleeping mat.
Rafe obediently leaned back a little, which made his chest muscles look even more defined.
Dora could smell the crisp, clean scent on him, tinged with a faint trace of blood. As she unwrapped the old bandage, hed fingers inevitably brushed against his warm skin.
“Your hands are cold, Dory,” Rafe murmured, his blue eyes as deep as the ocean in the dim light.
“Yeah, it’s freezing outside,” Dora replied, forcing herself to focus on his wound as she carefully dabbed it with aseptic
cotton.

INTERNRY
“All done. Dora said, quickly tying the knot and about to get up.
But Rafe gently grasped her wrist, his touch light but enough to make her pause.
“Thank you,” he said, his voice low and deep, hblue eyes locked onto hers.
Dora’s heart skipped a beat, but she forced herself to acs calm. “No need to thank me. You’re my beast mate now. It’s my duty to look after you.”
She tried to pull her hand away, but Rafe didn’t let go.
“Do I still need to be tested?” he asked, his voice carrying a subtle hint of probing.
Dora looked up at him and suddenly smiled. “Rafe, you’re hurt like this. You should save your strength and rest instead of
talking.”
She finally pulled her hand free, got up, and went back to her own bed, pulling the thin blanket over herself. “Get some sleep Rest up, and your wound will heal faster.”
She turned her back to Rafe, closed her eyes, and tried to steady her heartbeat and cool down her blushing cheeks. With such a gorgeous guy willingly letting her flirt with him, pretending she felt nothing would be a total tie.
But… no, now wasn’t the time. She still hadn’t figured out if he was truly sincere about her.
But Rafe wasn’t about to let her get any sleep tonight.
It wasn’t long before stifled, pained breaths and the faint sound of restless movement came from his spot on the floor.
“Is it hurting again?” Dora turned around, sounding exasperated.
Rafe was lying on his side in the dim light, facing her.
Moonlight streamed in through the small window of the rest pod, casting shadows across his pale face and making him look even more “fragile”.
“It’s nothing… Maybe it’s just my old injury acting up. I can handle it, You go ahead and sleep,” he said.
His voice was weak, but there was a quiet stubbornness behind it.
Dora stared at him for a few seconds, and then a lightbulb went off in her head.
Γ
She fished a small paper packet out of her Spatial Realm, climbed out of bed, and walked over to Rafe, handing it to him. “Here, these are some super-effective painkillers. I always keep them handy.”
Rafe didn’t suspect a thing. In fact, he couldn’t help but feel a little secretly pleased.
‘She’s actually worried about me, and she even went out of her way to get me some medicine, he thought.
He took the small paper packet, found two white pills inside, and washed thein down with the water Dora handed him.
“Thanks, I feel much better now,” Rafe said softly, his blue eyes lingering on her in the dim light.

Þofá gave a smalaod and went back to her own bed.
Less than teri minutes later, the sound of steady, even breathing drifted over from his spot on the floor. The medicine had kicked in.
Hearing Rafe’s steady breathing, Dora finally let out a sigh of relief, a small smile tugging at her lips.
Nice try, you think you can beat me? Dora thought, feeling smug.
Dora quietly turned over, watching Rafe sleep, his face alm and peaceful.
In the glow of the firelight, his usual shrewdness melted away, leaving him looking unexpectedly gentle.
His red hair fanned out across the pillow, long lashes casting delicate shadows beneath his eyes, the teardrop-shaped beauty mark at the corner of his eye making him even more captivating, and his lips gently pursed…
He really was handsome.
“Cunning fox,” she muttered to herself, unable to stop a smile from curling at her lips.
Once she was sure Rafe was sound asleep, Dora quietly got up and checked the rest pod’s defense system.
She glanced out the small window.
There was a subtle energy ripple coming from Clive’s tent, he was absorbing a crystal core.
Elmer was on watch by the campfire, his expression focused and vigilant.
Lioren was stretched out on a nearby rock, feigning sleep, but his ears kept twitching, ever alert.
Dora lay back down, her consciousness sinking into the Spatial/Realm.
The day’s battles and loot had left the Spatial Realm a little chaotic.
On the left side, a vast stretch of sandy soil was covered in lush vines, peanuts, potatoes, and sweet potatoes growing wild. Tomatoes hung heavy with ripe red fruit, while cucumbers, watermelons, and cantaloupes were hidden among the leaves.
The strawberry patch was bursting with ripe red berries. Dora carefully picked all the mature ones and stored them in the stasis space.
On the right side, Dora had recently cleared a patch of rich black soil about the size of a basketball cours, perfect for growing all kinds of fresh veggies that are picky about their dirt.
In the center, the essence spring bubbled up, its crystal-clear water running through the shallow channels Dora had dug feeding both sides of her garden.
Time to replant the batch of lettuce they’d polished off tonight.
Dora skillfully took out the seeds and planted them evenly in the loosened black soil. With just a touch of her finger, she guided the essence spring water to fall like a gentle rain.
Right before her eyes, the tender green sprouts pushed up through the soil, stretching their leaves wide and drinking in the essence spring water like they couldn’t get enough.
After finishing up, Dora’s eyes landed on her biggest haul of the day, the Starvein Blueberry Tree. now sately tucked away in the stasis space.
