Chapter 105
Dora sat up and instinctively glanced at the sleeping mat across from her.
Rafe was still sound asleep, his breathing long and steady. The deliberate pretense of weakness or allure from last night was gone from his handsome face, leaving him looking peaceful and completely unguarded.
Sunlight cast a faint halo over his straight nose and long lashes.
Dora had to admit, when this fox was sleeping quietly, he could really fool her.
Dora tiptoed out of bed, got dressed, and pulled open the pod door.
Outside, the morning mist still lingered around the camp, but the rain had stopped.
Clive sat by the campfire, occasional flashes of dark purple lightning dancing around him.
His aura felt even more calm and contained than yesterday, it was obvious the Pinnacle Level 6 crystal core he absorbed was working wonders.
Elmer was busy by the fire, stirring a pot of hearty scooping food. When he saw Dora come out, he immediately flashed a bright smile. “Dora! The scooping food will be ready soon!”
Lioren leapt down from a nearby tree, clutching a freshly hunted crystal core in his mouth.
His amber eyes glanced at Dora, and he flicked his tail lightly as a casual greeting.
“Morning, everyone,” Dora greeted as she stretched and took in the slightly fresher air of Zone 32.
“Looks like everyone had a pretty good night?” she asked.
Clive opened his eyes, the lightning fading from his dark gaze as he nodded. “I broke through to Level 6, but it’s not stable yet. It’ll take a few days to really settle.”
He glanced at Dora, his eyes lingering on her face for a moment. “Did you sleep well?”
“Wow, just one crystal core and you jumped straight to Level 6? That’s two whole ranks in one go! Clive, you’re amazing,” Dora praised, her eyes shining brightly.
“Our group’s power just got a huge boost,” she added.
After praising Clive, she made sure to answer his question. “I slept really well,” Dora said with a knowing smile. “The ‘seriously injured’ one was super quiet, slept like a log till morning.”
Just as she finished speaking, the rest pod door slid open and Rafe stepped out.
He was already put together, his deep blue battle suit crisp and spotless. His red hair blazed in the morning light, and his blue eyes were clear, there was no sign at all of last night’s “serious injury” or “being drugged.”
He nodded to everyone with an easy, composed air. “Morning.”
Only Dora noticed the quick flash of resignation, and just a touch of annoyance, in his eyes when he glanced her way. Clearly, he’d already figured out what that “miracle painkiller” from last night was really all about.
Dora acted like she hadn’t seen a thing, in high spirits as she headed over to Elmer’s side to help with breakfast preparations.

Chapter 103
Cafer breakfast, laser proudly presented a big bag of crystal cores to Dora, pushing in front of her with a grim. “Dora these are all yours.
Not wanting to be outdone, haren handed over his own bag of crystal cores to Dora. “Here, female. Take them
Dora opened the cloth bag, and light flashed out instantly, revealing a dazzling collection of crystal cores sparkling like precious gems before her eyes.
“You two really didn’t get any rest last night, huh?” Dora said, her eyes wide in surprise.
Elmer looked a bit smug. “For some reason, it felt like the mutated alien beasts were everywhere last night.
“Lioren and I took out five Primary Level 5 alien beasts, over thirty Level 4s, and a dozen or so Level 3 and Level 2 ones!
“Good thing you left us plenty of crystal energy food and water, Dora.”
Lioren nodded, shooting a sideways glance at Rafe. “We were busy all night, didn’t stop for a second.”
Dora rubbed her hands in anticipation. “So, where are the alien beast corpses?”
Dora wasn’t bothered at all by the alien beast corpses. In her eyes, they were basically starcoins and barter points just waiting to be collected.
Lioren hopped down from his chair and headed out with Dora toward the cave entrance.
“They’re all piled up outside. Pick what you want, leave the rest,” he said.
Dora spotted the heap of corpses at the entrance, thanks to the cold, they were still fresh. With a flick of her wrist, she swept them all into her Spatial Realm.
“I’ll take them all!” she declared.
After stashing all the mutated alien beasts, Dora and Lioren headed back to their seats.
“With all these mutated alien beasts showing up around our camp, looks like we’ve been exposed. We need to find a new spot,” Dora said, her tone serious.
“Today, we’re sticking to the plan and heading deeper into Zone 32, but let’s keep our route hidden and move quick,” she added.
Clive spread out the map. “Our goal is to figure out where the crystal ore vein is and how much is there, then bail out as soon
as we can.
“With the way the weather’s been, the wet season could break out any time, and it’ll get way more dangerous out here”
“Agreed,” Rafe said.
He pointed to a marked spot on the map. “Based on my previous intel and what we discovered yesterday, the crystal one ye is most likely in this area.
“The terrain there is tricky, good for hiding, but it also means more alien beasts and unknown risks.”
The five of them crowded around the map, carefully plotting out today’s route and contingency plans.
Once the route was set, they packed up camp and wiped away any trace they’d been there.

Chapter 105
As they followed the map, the vibe around them just kept getting weirder and weirder.
Sometimes the energy in the air spiked, sometimes it dropped off suddenly. The plants looked all warped and creepy, and what really set everyone on edge was how often Advanced mutated alien beasts kept popping up.
“Something’s off,” Clive muttered, pausing in the treetops as his eyes scanned the area. “We mutated alien beasts in just five minutes. That’s way above the usual numbers.

Lioren crouched next to Clive, his amber eyes fixed on the forest below. “Looks like they’re migrating out of here
“This isn’t their usual activity, something’s forcing them out.”
Before Clive could finish, a deafening roar blasted out from the woods ahead.
A hulking beast, over 13 feet tall at the shoulder and wrapped in dark-gold armored hide, smashed through several trees and barreled right toward them.
It was a Moderate Level 6 Ironback Earth Dragon!
“Scatter!” Clive snapped, instantly transforming into a bolt of black lightning as he rushed forward.
